I just need to share this with someone so I thought why not you guys. :p

I live in a country where poverty is very high. You can find beggars at every nook and corner.

So today while I having a smoke there came a young kid, probably around 10 years old. He asked people for money but no one spared him any change. Then he went to look in the dustbin for something to eat. That really hit me. I am strongly against giving money to beggars because where I live, beggars use the money for drugs. Not just alcohol but strong drugs.

So what I did was, went up to him and offered him food. He happily agreed. So I bought him a meal. It just cost me about $2 but I'm pretty sure it meant a lot to him and felt really really good.

There is absolutely no reason to share this but I just wanted to let it out.

Thanks for reading a meaningless thread though. :)

Last time I did this the beggar told me to fuck off with my sandwich and to give him beer or money.

He bought him a kick ass sandwich, the guy who made them only sell until he run out of fresh bread, and it is quite costly but man it feels good when I eat it price are a bit high for the country but it's healthy, tasty and the whole package is just awesome + the waitress is cute as fuck. The beggar should have accepted it but I understand them sometime it's turf to beg so alcohol and money helps to forget

Good gesture mate. If you truly believe in God you know you will be rewarded for this gift to the poor child.

Good for you mate, you did something good and helped a soul. I`m glad that you bought him a meal instead of giving those 2 dollars to him.... It`s better this way.

I have done that too, when I was in my school age, I brought a lunch packet for my friend next to me everyday. Lied to my mom, that I ate two lunch packets at school. LOL
He never brought any meal to eat, he spend all the day at school with empty stomach, he drank a lot of water to keep his stomach full. I did this for a year, and next year we were in different classes. Always feel good whenever I recall the school memories. :D
