I bought a FB fanpage with 220k likes. The prior posts all had between 50 and 300 Likes per post and a reach of 500 to 8000 (while 1500 was the average). After I made a few posts myself I end up with 10-20 Likes and a reach of 300 to 500. Now I guess the previous Likes were bought or bulked Likes and I ask myself if I just wasted money or can make something out of this setting. I posted one Amazon Affiliate Posting targeted to my audience and had 20 Likes and 15 clicks so far, so i guess the conversion will be zero. I would appreciate any kind of hints and tipps how i could make use of the page in order to gain small amounts of money out of it.

it depends on many things , for example what kinda audience you have ? what niche your page is in ? try different things to find out what attracts them and then twist your product/services accordingly

Thank you for the kind replies. I bought it for 80$. Probably far too much. Am i right that the results I describe above indicate that most of the likes are fake? Also what would you do? Try to keep likes up by buying additional services to make it look better (and try to find people to advertise on it) or accept that the next postings will receive only a few likes and try to monetize via myclicks and amazon. I am absolutly willing to learn, how everything works.

The audience is quite mixed with people from the US, Korea, Mexico, France, Ireland, Portugal and Spain. It's not a real niche and basically a fanpage for a bigger brand which deals mainly with sportswear, shoes and outdoor clothing.

Is this a lost case and wasted money/time or can i make something out of it according to your knowledge/expertise?

if i were you , go to fiverr.com make a gig for selling shoutout on your fanpage i have seen people selling shoutout on the shittest fanpages and getting around 10 orders a day , (its not ethical because ppl buying shoutout will get jackshit )

    What is your niche ?

As your description, Seems you got the Page with mostly fake likes. 220k Likes, if 50% of them are real you should get minimum 2000-5000 Reach for every post.
So there is no way to monetize a fake page.

I am now building a Page for my site I got 9k likes with $50 Coupon (FB Ads). My Low quality post gets minimum 100-200 likes & 500-1000 Reach.

There is only one way : If you thought most of the likes are fake, yon can invest on it to increase/get real likes. Use Facebook ads. When you got real likes then you post there Amazon Product.

Thank you very much for the confirmation. It's what i expected but i am lacking the knowledge how to determine for sure. Thanks a lot for the other hints. I will think about fiverr and about investing more into the page to get it more real followers. Thanks a lot.

Same happened to me, I got scammed by a BHW member (who's now banned). I didn't manage to get the page active, I kind of given up on it. I'd like to know if you manage to use it in any way.

Edit: Don't buy new likes, it's a waste of time. There is a chance your likes are real, but haven't interacted with your page in a really long while (that's why you get a low reach). It might be worth it to pay for reach boost to your fans, that might get them back and active to your page, but there's no certain guarantee.

Actually 80 is a bargain for even that many fake likes. You've a real estate to start with. Just take it as your cost for setting up site, themes, etc if you were doing websites.

    Hello Helgon.

I think That most off the fans in that page are fake fans.

You could make the page get real Fans Easily, since because the Fan number in the page is more.

Start posting Video (vines) On a regular intervals . you will automatically see that the reach increases.

after you confirm that the fans are real you can monetize with force share scripts.

First of all Fake Likes are not Worthless if you know what you are doing

Secondly Inactive Cloned Pages can be useful if you keep posting Content on them related to Niche takes time

$80 is okay for a 220k page even if 80% of those likes are fake.
You can either sell it or use it for backlinking. If the page likes stay that fine for link building.
You can make thread's for selling posts on fiverr and other freelancing sites.
you can share with other pages to get some genuine likes and increase activity.

Question is, how do you find if they are real and innactive or just fake?

How can you purchase a page without EVEN trying it first? Did you ask the managed to post your article / post / photo / link in their page to check the conversion? It depends on the niche, but from 220k fans 15 clicks are NOTHING... :(

I see the age of fan page when it was created.
Amount of likes in generated .If its too quick something is fishy.
    Likes Drop per day.
    Everyday average likes on page.
Avg comments and share's per post.
Other Page's liked by the page.
