i bought 2 expired domains off here and the backlinks have gone???

    Hi all, i bought 2 expired domains off here with great metrics, and now i set up a pbn on it and then checked domain metrics again and now they are worthless??? no backlinks to the domains at all. whats going on....can anyone advise?

    The backlinks could have been deleted, so your domain lost some juice from those links.

    Maybe those links got deindexed from the donor site?

    maybe you checked the www. version last time but your sites using the non www. version or something, message the OP of the BST thread and ask them?

    That is why you should always rebuild the previous site as soon as you can. The seller can do nothing to prevent this as he does not control the links.

    Just check www version or check non www version :) No body can delete your backlinks overnight ... You are safe man .. !

    I bought the expired domain 2 months ago but only got around to building a pbn out of this week. When i checked the backlink profile on seo majestic virtually all the backlinks have been deleted ;(

    so is this my fault for leaving it so long?

    Use ahrefs, its better than majestic in most cases. Then let us know

    You know, the free account at ahrefs is all you need here. You get to see 5 rows of links (if you have any)

    ah ha ! i found the problem! I was not putting in the www. in the url what a newbie mistake. The domain has still lost a lot of link juice though....

    Make sure you use the www version and set it as the preferred version (htaccess).

    chck with the seller but he probably cant help it either unless he owned those links which is unlikely
