    Hey B'Hats!

I just recently started up a business in my city and created a website which I wanted to rank for my keyword: "city keyword" and "keyword city" These keyword combined get me around 1100 targeted visitors if I rank #1. I'm pretty sure I beat out my competition but I'm still ranked on page 4-5.
MY COMPETITION IS EASY, SHOULDN'T I BE ON PAGE 1 ATLEAST?
    Here are some screen shots!!

Thanks for the input/help guys. I really appreciate it.

google wont rank you overnight buddy if its a new site even if you have stronger and more backlinks you still may have to wait 2-3 months to rank #1

Are you guys serious? I always see fiverr gigs and reviews in the BST threads which claim "ohh this service boosted me up in the SERPS to 3rd spot"

    Damn :(

There are more factors than just the amount of backlinks that you have.

So what work have you done so far? How old are the domains, are they optimised etc - more info and more people might be able to help.

I think you've just proved that the amount of backlinks is not the be all and end all to rank. There are so many other factors. The fact you have no content and only one page indexed is proof you need to add some relevant content.

I'd have a good look at the site in position 4 and see what they've done to get there with very few backlinks and little content. Still they do have some refering domains and pages (RDD & RDP) whereas you have 0, the only one in fact from those results.

I got #2 position on the first page of Google for a keyword, within 2 days so I know it doesn't take long. I focused on the keywords, the content, originality, backlinks. Domain name seems to play a part but it's not critical as the #1 position has a domain name that has nothing to do with the product. It's easier to rank #1-2 for a keywords that's not in high demand. It's harder when you're competing with millions of sites trying to rank for a popular kw. Go long tail.

I know theres more to it, like link quality over quantity. I can't do any content on my site because of the really nice theme I'm using. I have the all in one SEO plugin installed so that takes care of on page SEO. Out of all the backlinks that are CURRENTLY INDEXED they are made up of bookmarks, blog comments and forum profiles. I have about 25k links which have my link and anchor which havent been indexed yet.

I forgot to mention my domain ISNT an EMD. It's the name of my company, the only thing I can notice that I SHOULD add is H1 Tags, which I can't figure out for some reason. Does the all in one SEO plugin take care of that?

So something like a few articles, then spin the crap out of them and post on article directories?

Yea I noticed that as well but appreantly my domain age is 6 years, which is weird because I registered it about 3 weeks ago.

Thanks, I guess I just have to be more patient.

Those are some really established sites there, it will take some time to knock them out.

Do you suggest I do anything else in the mean time or let my 25k links index themselves and wait?

Yes, create your own articles and spin them yourself if this site is your baby. Let google find the pages on it own. I am a believer that pinging every single post or link you create will give you a red flag.

Yeah write content for your site while backlinks are getting indexed and buy even more high quality backlinks.

You need patience, i'm also poking the ice "is it done yet?" for me to go play hockey on it, but i always forget that google needs time to valuate your site.

I have to write more content also while i'm jumping in 3rd page with my keywords.
