If you post in certain areas of the forum, like the lounge or download section your post count will not increase...

Nothing, the wrong part is coming when the newbie spam 2 weeks just for a rank.

There is nothing wrong , not even rank but with permissions of accessing and posting on certain forum sections. Sorry but I am not agree with Gunzz ---> Not all guys spam , there are many who did quality posts and helped others thus made their post count , treating someone , low post count and new to forum like a pest , is no good.
Patience my friend. And don't spam, Always think if you can help somebody else with your knowledge or with your question. Because also what and how to ask is very important. I would suggest you take the next two weeks and read as much as you can here in the forum - you might learn some good things....
