Anyone here investing in websites or social networking accounts? I don't mean creating them, I mean actually buying established sites that bring passive income. I am investing in sites and need a check list of every scheme, scam, &, sham to avoid buying one that will lose me money. I know I have a good grasp on what to do, but, it doesn't hurt to mastermind with the most reliable forum of BHers. Maybe there is something new I am not aware of I don't know yet:confused: Please participate I notice my questions have not been answered by many people lately, and, I know I am not the smartest guy online, or am I?:tape:

Wanna just make sure I evaluate properly. Give me every suggestion and advantage to do my due diligence. Thanks.

... If you're preparing to invest thousands of dollars you should probably have the confidence in yourself to not ask a question such as this. Nothing personal.

Also, I'm not sure anyone is going to give you a bullet list on monetization strategies... Though, really you should already know them prior to beginning such a risky venture.

Further more, beyond telling us your buying up profitable websites we have no means of knowing their existing strategies so we can't be of much use without having more details on your plans.

I can't sit here and tell you what types of ads perform best on your sites because I don't know what they are.

... Try asking more specific questions.

Recurring billing just got put on the mainstream merchant account hit list. Look out for anyone who has that built into there model and how they promote it, also testimonials. If one gets a red flag so will the others.

US based I assume? I was on the phone with a friend of mine about all the Don't of 2010 so I have a brief drop on what/what not is ok. Take it with a grain of salt cause I can't explain everything :)
