No offence but as more and more I am viewing all these "big" launch websites/squeeze pages, I am more sick of them..
Do you really think that someone will gonna get your stuff? What is your conversion rate mate? Think about it...

Stop using this funny counters which change every second and show me how many people signed up already - that's for kids.
Don't tell me about your "revolutionary" methods which shift the course of the earth and change everything - I won't believe you.
Stop spam by adding XX amount of "Add to cart/BUY NOW" buttons - if I want to get it I will find the button and click.
Don't tell me about super low price for next 24 hours - it will be there for next 24 days for sure.
Don't try to tell me that today you want to sell me it for only <STRIKE>47$</STRIKE> 17$ - such a great offer, I HAVE TO GET IT! C'mooon man!
From eperience I know, more this shit you load on your page, the less we (customers) want to buy it.

THE MORE YOU TRYING TO CONVINCE ME TO BUY YOUR "big" PRODUCT, THE LESS CHANCES ARE I WILL ACTUALLY GET IT.

So funny many people feel same as me but still some people trying to sell their products using these poor methods...

P.S. Sorry for my language mistakes. English isn't my first language.

P.S.2. This is a part of the post on my blog (just in case someone will come here from Google). I am not gonna link here to original post on my website.

Unfortunately most of the things you have mentioned work. There so many people entering into IM each and everyday and this will be something new for them and a lot of them fall for it. These are all proven marketing techniques which work .

    Precisely.

Those landing pages are for newbies. They aren't targeting you.
You think a newbie will buy membership at places like semrush.com, seomoz.org even though they're useful as fuck? No. Will you buy it? Yes. You think he'll buy ebooks which promise to teach him how to make money? Yes. Will you buy it? No.

This is one of the basic things called targeting the correct audience.

Its funny how they use internet marketing ploys on you, to sell methods on how to use internet marketing ploys on others.

If people who bought this crap stopped for a second and thought about it, they would realize the method has been staring them in the face all the time.

Simply copy the marketing ploys those crappy sales pages used to get them to click and buy the product, and paste it to their own website products and promotions.

Remember there's one born every minute!

Yes Corrupt - they are for newbies.

I believe that if something is desired by customers (willing to buy + knowledge of the product) you don't need to pursue/convince them.

For example I really don't like when someone approaching me in the shopping mall and try to chat me up and sell me something - thats simply doesn't work on me and I am walking away... guess why?

Its like with good brand - you see people around using/buying the product, you automatically think it must be good and consider to buy this too (doesn't matter you are newbie or not).

This is social proof mate, not a html code on the website you can edit/change.

If you know the field, you probably know what you are buying. But also if you know it, you don't need them all these poor marketing tricks to pursue you to get it, because you have some knowledge of the product.

Let's continue... how many newbies landing on kind of pages like that will gonna buy your product?

the gurus don't even make 10% of what they show in sales pages. all they do is wakeup, plan a new product launch & sell. they're not real.

real people who make solid money are always hidden & they don't enter the "launches". its that way.
but still there are some good products that have worthy info. i heard that "blogging to the bank" product has alone made several millions in 2010 & he has sold that site on flippa for several million dollars! and planning next product launch?

the problem is you are assuming other people think like you. these marketing methods dont work on YOU, but that doesnt mean they wont work on other people.

No offense, these are tested and proven marketing tactics. They aren't trying to sell experienced marketers! They are selling to the average joe which there are about 50,000:1 of them compared to experienced marketers.

As you already said "It's for Newbies" which BTW buy like crazy
experts already know what they want and buy it without paying attention to the landing page

Yeah... you're right, it's all bull, doesn't work... Everybody is only using it because the other guy is using it too, finally someone comes to clear up the marketing industry.

Oh wait, sorry, you simply "believe" that these methods don't work because your brain tells you that?

How about testing shit yourself before posting such nonsense

I tested. And you'll be surprised what results I had using different methods. I am not discovering nothing new. Read between the lines.

You can put big numbers on your websites, text recommendations from the people (it could be a fake isn't?), but nothing be as good as real proof from real people (happy users).
You can lift your sales up drastically, both in "newbie" and "expert" industry, if you get rid of these kinds of methods I posted in first post and concentrate on real, solid proofs.

At least they released apps to create squeeze pages/websites so you don't need to waste your time putting all this shit together in hope of good conversion rate. Read between the lines again.

    Question for today: What
conversion rate you consider as a *good* ?

P.S. Did you hear about confidence tricks? About irrational believes?

I got my first ever taste of IM and pages like these in 2005 and way back then I was quite naive and I came across this so called revolutionary product that I ended up buying and the next day I was locked out. Ended up paying USD$69.97 for it which converted to over $NZD$120. Since then I have NEVER been bought into the whole blingy graphics that seem to overwhelm people and convince them to "buy now even if it's 2am!", and pages which seem to go on forever telling you about all this bullshit that could fill the entire sun.

So for a bunch of unsuspecting noobs, the promoter could make a killing... but for people like OP and myself, their pages about shitty ebooks etc will never work.

Oh before I forget... about 3 years ago I was stupid and gullible enough to buy into a Google work from home program. I thought ok, I guess I can waste $4.95 for a trial to access the program for a couple days, but I made the big mistake of using my bank debit card and soon as I signed into this "account" I had no way of cancelling the subscription and they robbed my partner and I of $120. We were pissed off so we took the claim to the bank and then VISA intermational and 2 months later the successful chargeback was made and the $120 deposited back into my account. I said earlier that I don't fall for junk bullshit like this but for the first time in 4 years I was caught off guard, now I am very skeptical about things and rightly so. For those who want to know what this program was, it was basically making an income with Adsense. I knew this was bullshit soon as I (unfortunately) gave my CC details, as I had already made a bit of $$$ with Adsense (got them cards in the mail from Google). You can read up about the scam here:

In IM terms, the moment you realize the truth behind them, it's the same moment as in 'real life' when you lose your virginity and start to play bad ass ;]

Here's a better question: Do you make more money than 'big-launch' gurus?

Conversion rate alone doesn't mean anything. You can be profitable with 1% conversion on a $1997 product, than a 25% conversion on a $7 report - or vice-versa.

Humans are not always rational. People take decisions based on emotions and many other factors.
