I am new here. Been in the software support biz for twenty years. One of my parents got scammed from romance date site and large sum of money taken.

I should have interviewed with the parent but unknown to me, he was asking her to create checks for him from gift cards, then money orders for 15,000. I did not know this "she NEVER told me" I am showing her several you tube videos of other people in Australia, Germany, UK United States getting scammed. I was chocked that the police investigator said millions of people in Australia has been hit. I need to rematch that clip again.

Anyway, I like to know of a way to some how get that suspects gateway ip then turn over that information to authorities. I want him to head to prison. I could pretend to be be the victim and ask him for his gateway ip. Good chance, he wont do it so it has be be done another way.

2002, ive grown up around the ever changing WWW. so i no a fake email
when i get one, i dont click on dodgy exe's . its a learning curve .
rule 1 - never ever hand over money to random people online.
