I have seen some employers require the workers they are hireing to install time tracking software on their computers to ensure they are doing the work and not just ripping it off somewhere and to ensure the work is unique, have you used this software or can you recommend the best time tracking software also have you had good expierence with workers in the phillipines, what is the work quality like for article writeing

    Cheers.

If you want a good employee or contractor who is going to provide good work, a time tracker isn't going to help you.

My experience is that good employees are hindered by things like this. Then again, it is very hard to find good people in the first place.

Do it yourself first. See how long it takes and what to expect. Then let them know what to expect and make sure they keep performing.

Unless you are going to be paying a lot higher than Philippine minimum wage, I don't think you should bother. You get what you pay for, bottom line. They know you are already trying to get a bargain just by hiring them. If you put a lot of hurtles up, you'll have a really hard time retaining anyone for long periods of time.

Give your VAs a short one hour test, and tell them you'll pay them if it's up to your standards at the regular rate. ... Hire those who do well, don't hire those who don't. In my experience in general, the 80-20 rule applies!

Not all Filipinos mate. I am a proud Filipino. :)

Not so long a ago, I would ask at least about $1x to $2X per written article and approved submission to EZA, hubpages, squidoo, etc...

So please not say we work awful.. probably.. you pay awful that's why you're not getting any good results from them.

Anyway, I would suggest you should fit to work with Indians and Thais. There work is way cheap and quality wise, they're "OK".

And the best way to do things is to do it your own. :)

(By the way, some folks here at BHW may want to work with you, just go to the "Hire A Freelancer" section.)

    regards,

your folk from the Philippines

    Hi,

I landed a website where most of their workers are from the Philippines. Staff.com offers full time staff, you only need to post your details and one of their in-house specialists will contact you right away to set interview schedules for their shortlisted candidates. What I liked most is their time tracking software (TimeDoctor) that logs keystrokes, mouse clicks made, and takes regular screenshots while your employee is working on his computer. Actually, I got quality programmers from them and they?re now on their 5[SUP]th[/SUP] month working in my company.

No, not all! Same with employers that some are good while others are bad.

You misunderstood him. He said all the ones he hired, not every Philipino.

If you really want to hire a Filipino worker you should try "SEO Philippines". If it is beyond your budget, you can try "oDesk". There are many freelance contractors out there who are willing to provide their service at a cheap price but good quality service.

I know people who have outsourcing offices setup in Phillippinnes and they seem to be very good/hard working people. I have never heard of them having issues with people not completing work or displeasure with the quality of work they found. It's great prices, and if you don't like what they are doing have them improve or they simply don't get paid. Time tracking software are useless because if someone wants to slack off work they still can do that with the tracking running and all.

Find people there (through various outlets), have them do some test work, and right there and then you'll know if they are capable of performing the tasks given to them.

To the thread starter, if your time is precious and you need to get things done for you quick, you wouldn't bother going anywhere else. Right here, right now, your search is over. Drop me a line and let's get crackin'.
