I am Buying a domain in 5 mins.

i am planning to buy "keyword1keyword2.com" but it is not available.

Can i buy "keyword1-keyword2.com".

Is there any digfference between the hypen domain and normal domains in terms of SEO?

hyphens suck?
Really...I have heard people say otherwise.I like hyphens because it will be more readable if i do Test link ads or Banner ads.

However i don't want to risk if it does harm in SEO department.

Another question....

So,Should i go for the keyword1keyword2.org (which is available) or the "keyword1-keyword2.com" domain.

you can also do

descriptiveworkKEYWORD1KEYWORDS2.com

I've done that many times.. in fact earlier today.

i'm kidding, i would use hyphens for a non seo site. i just haven't had any good luck with hyphens. i dont have any facts to back it, but it seems as if the average search user doesn't like hyphens in names because it looks like a second-hand company.

it will do fine when it comes to SEO, just make sure you ad a hypen to some of your keywords,
like if your keyword is whatever,
add this
keyword:
whatever
whatever-
or
whatever seo
whatever sep -
make sure you add that space between seo and the space though, because google doesnlt like it.
im a little trashed so i may be wrong

I agree with the 'descriptiveworkKEYWORD1KEYWORDS2.com' thing...

But many times i have noticed that when searching in google the exact match keyworded domains are ranked at the top....Anybody to my support in this argument?

hyphen is ok

check "Hosting Review" that work fine with hyphen.

Hyphen is not a problem.. I have used it in many domains and they have good rankings...

Hyphens won't hurt you. Just for a business site while your on the phone imagine saying keyword hyphen keyword all the time instead of keyword1keyword2.com......... But hyphens don't hurt. Go for it

really this is the best we can do? they are right hyphens suck but u can choose a better domain name one thats not so long.

Hypens don't affect your SERPS, just make it trickier for people to type in. So if you're going to need people to type your domain in, it's best not to have hyphens, but Big G doesn't penalize for them.

Hey Guys the question still remains...Does a hyphen affect SEO and SERPS?
Can somebody answer that. I too have the same problem but i decided to dive in earlier but jut want to get more insight on this.

I have been number 1 with 4 different hyphenated domains. It has no effect on serps.

backlinks are more important than your domain name. I dont think a hyphen would get penalised, ive seen plenty hyphenated domains ranked number one with sitelinks in google as well. I would just hyphenate it, but then again having .org isnt bad either.

Yeah there is no penalty for hyphens, the only issue arises when someone comes to your site, doesn't bookmark just remembers the site name, then enters keyword1keyword2.com in their address bar. They go to some other schmucks site.
