    Hey guys,
I saved some money which i earned from IM to build my first PC. The reason of this because i want to change my 5 year old shitty PC and want to play some games like GTA 5 and Battlefield 4 etc.
But i am still not sure about what to do because of the tight budget. I thought about a laptop, but it has only one good thing as compare to desktop is i can take it anywhere. If you think laptop would be a good choice then please suggest.

I wanted to re invest this money in IM but this shit PC is making me angrier everyday and making my work hard (See the video below). You can see application are opening very slow but that's not it, it hangs for like 5-7 seconds in every 5 minutes which wasn't recorded in the video. I don't know the exact reason of this but i believe its because of heat sink and processor is overheating or not working properly.

Here is the list of parts for the new PC (Budget $700):
(Please make suggestions to make my gaming experience better)

    Intel 3.1 GHz i5 4440 - $219
    ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti - $144
    Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 - $52
    Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - $41
    ASUS M5A97 R2.0 MotherBoard - $111
    Western Digital WD10EZEX - $64
Deepcool Tesseract Sw Mid Tower Computer Case - $49
    Corsair VS Series VS450 - $36
    Asus Internal DVD Writer DRW-24D3ST - $17
    Total: $733

Your setup looks good, but I would advise you to invest in an i7 processor instead of i5.
Secondly, with hardware parts it's usually: the more you pay, the better.

Btw: a new pc/laptop is a good investment, if you use it for work that is :p

I considered i7 but its price is almost double of i5

OP my PC is much older than yours. It still runs Windows Vista. I feel your pain.

You're shopping at the right time of year. There will be all kinds of sales starting next month bc of the holidays. So capitalize on that. You can probably get an i7 for a very, very reasonable price if you just wait it out.

If you can't wait it out (and I wouldn't blame you if you didn't bc old PCs are the worst) then just go with the i5. It's good but doesn't have the power of the i7. If I were building a gaming PC (and I would and just use it for work too) I'd go with an i7 - or some market equivalent.

i7 is certainly better (especially so on some areas), but if he's on a budget the difference is not that big to justify the price difference in that case.

You need an SSD IMHO, will add substantial speed to your setup.
Also, check out cpubenchmark.net, you can see how different processors match up - for example i7 is not always going to be better than i5, depends on other factors.

as a user who follows nvidia closely and also built my gaming pc with bhw income 2 years ago
i would advise changing ZOTAC 750 to either a gtx 770 which is what i run or
a newer gtx 960 due to massive low power consumption

Ya that might lower my cost. I can wait 15-20 days more to get some good discount but it depends on the country. I live in india so i might get some good deals on this diwali.

770 over clocked version i bought mine new summer 2013 stopped making them summer 2014
im keeping it plays anything out there right now and is just as good as a
new gtx 970 from new series card except mine draws more power.

gtx 750 for games is kinda weak your gonna struggle to max any game less
    you use medium settings.

if u can stretch to it go for gtx 960 - low power consumption and twice the
power of a 750 + 960 is from new line up

The GTX 960 is about 2x performance of 750 due to having 2x the core configuration
(stream processors, texture map units, render output processors).

    here new egg.com re-furbished 960 is 170$ or 230 for new 1
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487153&cm_re=gtx_960-_-14-487-153-_-Product

dont buy a 750 waste of money spend 20$ more get refurb 960
ps power draw of 960 is half that of 750 + 960 twice as good win win

Getting a 250gb ssd would make a dramatic increase in all things regarding windows, if you're short just buy a smaller 120gb one and use it for Windows and adobe (etc) only

    +1 for SSD.
It's really a different world using a PC running with a SSD. You don't notice how much time you spend on waiting for things to load until you've tried a SSD !!!

i was tempted myself when 970 came out to grab1 day release but after reading
reviews, apart from 970s superior less use of power my my 77oc uses alot more
the difference between 770v970 is minimal fps wise. so ill keep me 770oc for
    another year or 2.

You don't really need a fancy cpu+gpu combo for gaming, you could get the A10-7870k and crossfire it with a R7-250 and play the latest games without any issues. And put the savings onto something like a nice SSD.

+1 for SSD. It makes a huge difference in any rig.
