Hi there, I am trying to get some incentive offers and cloack the link (ie: bit.ly or tinyurl, etc) to give to some... let's say.. leads...;) (there would be a list of offers to complete basically). Now, I have some offers that can only be promoted by banner, so, is there any way to cloak the banner so it looks like a link? ie: bit.ly/thebannercloaked.

If I get the affiliate manager to ask me where the lead is coming from, i can show a dummy site with the banner cloaked (which will look the same on a spreadsheet I am given to my "leads"...)

    I hope that makes sense?
    Thanks!

Surely the banner is only a hyperlink to the offer? Can't you just take the URL from the hyperlink and put that into bit.ly?

Sorry if I'm being dense. MAybe you should paste the banner code or explain why the offer can only be promoted through the banner?

Hi there, thanks for the answer Blackmamba456.
I tried to paste the banner code into bit.ly, but it would not accept it as a valid url...

Also if I take the URL from the banner and put it into bit.ly, would that work? cause if they see the page where the banner is coming from (should I show them at their request...) they'll see -in the banner code- something like: "<ref>image:... url.com..image" where my link would be more like bit.ly/whateverever... etc.

I need to -basically- show a bit.ly link when I hoover and click on the banner... which would be the same I will provide to my leads...
