    Hi,

I am creating a reviews site for multiple products and using Amazon to monetize. However, due to having multiple products my domain had to be a Non EMD because the domain wouldn't have made sense otherwise. So I really don't know what my keywords are on this review site, are they supposed to be the products I am reviewing, what am I suppose to be ranking?
If the keywords are the products, how would I rank my homepage as my homepage is just a page with title, description. links and then all the latest reviews below the title. There is about 10 latest reviews on my homepage, the reviews all have the product name in which I think is my keyword, so how would I rank this page?

    Thanks!

Well if you are doing reviews then the best approach would be: if you are doing book reviews, then your domain should have book reviews in it and your homepage should target broad highly competitive keywords (book, books, book reviews).

In your reviews/blog posts, there you should target specific keywords surrounding the book that you are reviewing (book title review, book title..). Less competitive keywords, long tails with low searches but that you can dominate soon and start seeing traffic.

More reviews + Proper structure + proper backlinking = more traffic.

And focus on ranking pages, not the site.

Thanks everyone. Sorry for being a noob, but what is the best backlinks you can get, one forum said pr9-pr10 are the best backlinks, is this correct?

    It surely is true :)

But you might want to be bit more modest with your PR expectations as it's nearly impossible to get PR9-PR10 on page backlinks except from fake PR sites. And it's not only the PR which matters so you should first focus to create healthy backlink profile with variation of different types rather than hunt pr9-pr10 links.
