Hi, I just checked my ranking today on Google under keyword keyword keyword. I was very happy to see that I am in the second position under Dish Network themselves. The only problem is that I am not get any calls but I am getting some comments. Any suggestions on how I can get call and make any money in this position?

Well, according to Google Keyword Tool...

Did I miss something? (I set country to All and languages to All.)

exact match searches per month = zero according to google

put up a squeeze page offering a dish guide above the fold, sell to the list

good luck

are some other good way to get this to work...Adsense!?

Well, yes, I'm sure that people do search for dish network in Lansing. The thing is, you probably have the wrong set of keywords. Or maybe you picked a seasonal set of keywords.

The website is called Google Keyword Tool. You can find it there, https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal.

However, be sure to tick the EXACT checkbox and to untick the BROAD checkbox.

me also ever experience this, having good rank #1 in google but no traffic at all maybe 1-2 uv /day, after checking my keyword on google (by ticking the exactly not broad or phrase) it has Zero search volume per month at global and local.
so you must be careful when you choose the keyword, dont forget to tick the Exact Match

I do not understand "in the fold" and sell the list to who and for how much?

Lansing is the Capitol city of Michigan so I find it hard to believe that no one search Lansing dish network at all. When I first look at these keyword there were people looking at it. What am I missing!? What are some other good way to get this to work...Adsense!?

It's likely that you looked at Google's broad match results. They're always misleading. You need to look at exact match results.

Well No Searches = No business. Google Adwords Shows no exact searches for your keyword "Lansing Dish network". Select the right keyword and target it.

I understand... So how do I fix this?

For "lansing dish network" there is no fix since it has 0 searches. Try and search for another keyword or better yet go to the BST section and buy keywords searched by experienced sellers. If you choose to search on your own, make sure the keyword has substantial amount of exact searches per month relative to the projected income be it adsense (by looking at cpc)/cpa/sales etc.

Cheers,

people also need to understand taht even with a decent search number, most tools are heavily inflated and you generally wont even get half of the mentioned traffic.

There is none search result for your choosen keyword so you should change it. First of all decide country specific or global traffic is your target then go for exact search result.

There is another keyword tool "wordtracker" it also help you to search good keyword for your site.

Soruce : hxxps://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/

BS:bsflag: just because it is not in the keyword tool does not necessarily mean that it is not searched. All that means is that nobody is buying ads for that keyword. I have several local SEO customers that get calls off of keywords that they rank well for and the tool says they get 0 searches.

Here is more likely to be your problem. You have to think like a customer. If I was looking specifically for Dish Network, I am more likely to click on the dish network link before any others unless I was looking for a review. Not that your site does not get visits but I would not click on your site for that reason alone.

That's interesting, and in fact, it would make sense since this tool was designed for the Adwords platform.

I'll look further into that.
