Okay, I know theres a ton of thread like that on the forum and I have read plenty of them but I still dont know what to do.

I want to buy a domain name that is 28 characters long and have 3 keywords.

    • Keyword1Keyword2Keyword3.org is AVALAIBLE (no more .com/.net)
    &

    • Keyword1-Keyword2-Keyword3.com is AVALAIBLE
(Keyword 2 is the longest keyword)

Wich one would be the best for SEO? Would you say that theres no difference at all?

    Thanks,
    :D

personally I've had 0 luck with hyphens I know a lot of people say that hyphens are better or even just as good without hyphens but out of the 200+ sites I have the ones with hyphens never rank while the ones without hyphens always seem to rank for me. just my opinion though. :)

Everytime I've used hyphens I've been crapped on by Google. I would never use hyphens again.

One opinion (mine): I'd say it's the same. When I can't get the domain name I want, I just put hyphens between the words, and I rank well with these domains too.

    Thanks guys,

The thing is if I dont use Hyphens, it will be a 28 characters long domain name it will be UNREADABLE. But who cares about readability if Im #1 on google, right?

    Any more opinions?

There are some that say that hyphens are better, because the search engines can "read" the domain better or the keywords in the domain or something like that. That may have been true for a very brief moment in time back in 1998, but that argument just sounds ridiculous to me.

I never buy domains with hyphens unless that is the absolute last option and then it is only 1 hyphen in the whole domain. yourkeywordrichdomain.org sounds and looks a lot better than your-keyword-rich-domain.com

Get in the habit of capitalizing it properly. Instead of unreadabledomainname.org, every time you write it, write UnreadableDomainName.org.

Who will it be unreadable to?

    Well, users.

    So .org way to go?

.org before hyphens. This is a very small piece of the puzzle mind you.

I agree with the above comment .org just because its the full keywords and hypens put me off when im searching on g myself... plus does it even matter?

its what you do with the website itself.

For me, it's about readability and avoiding absurd readings. This is from an old thread about this issue.
