So I transfered one of my campaigns to hydra because I saw they would give a higher payout and I wanted to try hydra because heard good things, I have got a consistent 2% conversion rate with this offer, now i switch it to hydra SAME EXACT OFFER landing page n all. Down to a .5% conversion ratio. I have had 400 clicks to the offer. So what I was wondering, am I getting shaved to hell, or is my sample size of 400 clicks just too small and this is just variation.

i'd give it a full week and see how it comes to prior weeks. just giving it a day or two isnt enough.

    Hydra doesn't shave...

Most networks don't shave, it's the merchants agreement with the network that allows a % of scrubbage.

400 clicks really isn't much, even for targeted traffic. I would run a test, and send the exact amount of traffic to each offer and compare results. If you're being white hat, simply contact your AM at Hydra and get her to work with you.

Couldn't tell you. I have had hydra less than 100 clicks and 0 actions so far. However, I did have my girlfriend click and fill in (which was supposed to give me paid like $1.60) and I didn't get anything. I imagine they shave, which is stupid on their part. If I am new, I should get all PPA's paid so I continue to advertise offer, otherwise I may change or delete for something better for my banner space. Makes sense to me. Later when I am making $300 per day, then shave one or two, here and there but not at the beginning.
Sorry this has happend to you. Go back to other PPA company and test that again. If landing page and offer are same, that means hydra is shaving.

in my experience, they shave. if you track clicks, compare your numbers with their numbers and talk to them if they differ...

Yes, they don't shave. They DO have clients that shave, but you wouldn't see that for at least a week....

Guys, is shaving means that you don't get paid if your lead is already in their lead list or suppression list. right? or are there any additional factors that make your lead worthless for the merchant?

The Networks aren't the ones that shave or scrub leads (99% of the time at least). It is the companies who own the offers that do the shaving. They then send the data to your Network which will then change the info.

It seems like they scrub the leads at first and then once they verify they're good leads they don't scrub any/not as much. That's at least how it's appeared to me. I would run the same traffic throughout the week. If it doesn't chance, contact your AM saying you switched over with exact same lp and it's not converting.

Maybe you were just shit outta luck and the 400 people that clicked on your offer just werent interested (except for the .5% of course). you ever think about that?

They aren't shaving my test clicks.... usually when I set up a new campaign with them submit my info to see where or if the offer converts.... MOST of the time my info converts.... and I do get others to convert too.... so maybe it's the offer, maybe the same client different network, maybe that time of the month... tough to say.

But it's worth a call or email to your Am to find out wtf....
