Stay safe all you guys that will be affected by Hurricane Patricia. Especially those of you in Mexico.

Hurricane Patricia became the strongest hurricane ever recorded in the Pacific Ocean late Thursday night less than 200 miles from the coast of Mexico, where residents and authorities are rushing to prepare for what will likely be the strongest hurricane to ever make landfall on that country's Pacific coastline.

This year is going to be bad with the storms. I have already had bad damage to stuff around the house. Even though it hasn't really rained the wind wrecked some of my stuff.

Its sad really, Mexico is already in deep shit with cartels running wild and pretty much the whole government being corrupt.

Now the mexican citizens will have to suffer more hardships from the hurricane.

This beast of a storm is gonna rock the shit out of Mexico.

Let's put this into perspective. Hurricane Katrina was a CAT 3 blowing around 125 MPH when it made landfall. Hurricane Sandy was barely a CAT 1 blowing around 70-80 MPH. And I was shitting my pants since I live right by the beach. It sounded like an 8 hour machine gun-bomb firing at all sides of my house. Then every 5 minutes I'd hear a "thud" and the ground would shake like mini earthquakes. Full grown maple trees collapsing everywhere. Transformers blowing up. Then what sounded like a missile (tree) hitting my roof. Was the scariest experience of my life. And when you finally go outside and think its all over, you realize it's just begun. Civilization won't even start to break down for another 2-3 days lol.

When I think about that.... then realize this storm is 3xs stronger with windspeeds of >>>200 MPH...... Mexico is about to experience hell on Earth. I sincerely feel awful for anyone who's about to experience this storm.

200 miles per hour. This is basically a several hundred mile wide F3 tornado.

Good luck Mexi-bros. I'm in SC, we got hit hard with that flooding from Joaquin. This is going to be far more intense.

Gives us an idea of whats to come for Mexico. Scary stuff. Glad you came out ok.

Might be kind of ignorant or even disrespectful to say, but..... i would love to experience the situation you was in, mainly for the rush, but also to fully understand the kind of thing you guys go through on a somewhat regular basis.

LOL Cat 1 hurricanes are nothing. I don't do anything until it's at least Cat 3. I LOL at the northerners who come down here and then panic at little rain storms.

Ya I was going to say. I used to live on the beach in FL and Cat 1s and Cat 2s just means its windy and rainy usually time for a hurricane party! Also grew up in Alaska and during the winters we have regular wind for weeks at a time coming off the ice fields moving that fast, its not a big deal. Just like southerners that can't drive in 2 inches of snow though I suppose, its out of your comfort zone makes it seem scary.

Prayers will move mountains and will help to reduce or make the hurricane gone. Base on the news the Hurricane Patricia is almost equal strong of the Hurricane Haiyan which killed 7000 people in the Philippines. Lets pray and hope that this will not happen again.

Yeah, 200mph is pretty fucking bad. I've been in 150mph. The eye went over my house. Water was pouring into my house even though obviously my windows were closed. It was awful. I can't even imagine if it was worse than that. Mexico is about to get wiped off the map.

LOL, CAT 3 is nothing, I only close the windows when it gets to CAT 7. CAT 8, I tuck the curtains down the back of the radiator.

Even 60-80 MPH winds are insane. The initial impact is going to rock Hotel Row and a lot of awesome places behind the Malecon. Hopefully my favorite Cigar shop survives! Once it breaches it will slow down but that makes the weather disperse a bit. That's good for the direct line of the storm but it means everyone else on the outskirts share the weather. I have a friend out in Cabo right now for a wedding and he said its fine there, so at least that area didn't get rocked 2 years in a row.

If you guys like Tequila at all, you may want to go grab a few bottles of your favorite. If this blasts as hard as we are all thinking, Agave is going to be scarce. Takes 8 years to build those guys up so we may be stuck with mostly Mezcal for awhile. To most of us, it won't be a big deal but for those who enjoy getting white girl wasted wearing a sombrero... well just go buy some La Familia now before it's 500 a bottle.
