There are hundreds of people here selling various SEO services.

I'd like to hear from people recommending and SEO service that is not their own company.

I'm not interested to hear about links being created as promised, I'm looking for a company that can recently provide increase in relevant traffic. Ranking results.

Is there even one person here who is a purchaser, not a provider, who can provide a recommendation?

I bought an SEO package from DarkDemon in this thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...market-badass-search-engine-optimization.html

The work was done exactly as advertised, speed was good, the report was very detailed, and my rankings increased after the work was done. I got a boost in traffic of around 50% (was already ranking low on page 1 for some keywords). I went and bought another two packages from him later for $175 each, and I will certainly buy more packages in the future.

Very impressed with their service, and I would recommend it to others. They're legit.

If you'd be more specific on what exactly do you need maybe you'd get more opinions from fellow bhw'ers.

    What interests you?

    On-page SEO?
    Link building?
    - the whole shabang?
    - only some types of backlinks?

I guess in their sales thread you can find reviews from users that bought services..I dont think it would be producitive if we go around and create threads every time we are satisfied with certain provider.

All those who buy from that 100's of sellers are buyers of 100's why don't you read their testimonials in their BST

You do can get a recommendation but you can't really say that some 'ABC' provides the best SEO service since the results have never been the same for all the clients and one simply cannot consider any of the services as best since the rankings factor doesn't simply depends on the amount and quality of the links but also the type of websites you built.

The effect of building the same links would be different on different sites even if the CMS or niche of the sites are different.

    In defence of the OP.
Sales threads are full of cr@p and reviews that only scratch the surface - a review that just tells me that the person delivered on time and all the links were there is irrelevant to me. Like the OP I want to know about results. Although I appreciate results will vary from case to case, to find independent recommendations from people who have seen good results from a service would be very worthwhile.

There is no one size fits all SEO that's better than anyone else. A great SEO will truly understand and be educated in the ways of the industry that the client is a part of. I would consider doing a Google search for an SEO that specializes in the specific field you are trying to rank. And yes, a Google search is a good way to go, because if they can't create a lasting ranking for themselves, how will they be able to for you?

It really depends what you WANT. I have found a load of guys providing me with what I want.

For example, if I am looking for blog posts I will add the seller on skype, have a quick chat about my needs, get some examples, purchase a few as a test. If they give me what they promised and I was expecting they go on my whitelist for next time I need blog posts. Some sellers specialist in high PR, some in certain niches, some in high authority sites etc. No one is always better than the other.

My advice is just know what you want and go out and get it. SEO isn't just buy a service and cross your fingers, it generally requires a strategy.

In general I would never buy an all around package, so I can't comment on them. I prefer to pick and choose depending on my needs.

One thing I would note is I steer away from "cheap" services, 100 manual blog comments for $5 never turn out as well as 30 for $10 in my opinion.

I've learned from experience that buying pre-made packages is not the answer. These providers have great workers that do the specified work, but you need to bring YOUR knowledge to the table and not just fill out a quick form with URL's and keywords then expect to rank safely.

I use some of the folks around here for link building, but I pretty much always modify/customize every package that I order because ordering most of these things "as is" just doesn't cut it.

For example, when I need a link building campaign done for a certain site, I contact one of the service sellers in the BST sections and substitute a bunch of things like "Please leave out social bookmarks, but add a few more wikis" and I NEVER let any spun content touch my tier 1 links so I request original content for each property, which costs more, but you need to pay for the quality.

At the end of the day, you need to use your own knowledge of SEO in order to get the bang for your buck.

100% agree, spun articles for tier1 is a big risk.

you can rank with very little backlinks if there are of quality, you can even rank with only social signals, depending on your competition

I am working as an SEO expert from last 11 years, I think sales copies and testimonials on portfolio sites are 70 to 80% fake. If someone gets a good SEO service from a particular company or an individual, he will definitely refer that resource before his contacts. You can have an idea by comparing his website traffic stats in various SEO tools.

Moreover, real SEO/Digital marketer will never rely on google as a traffic source, third party resources plays a vital role in conversions as it varies niche to niche.

To be honest, every keyword has different metrics, we cannot guarantee top position to every client without analyzing competition etc. I wonder why these so called SEO gurus guarantee top positions without analyzing particular niche and its neighborhood.

OP started a vague discussion by asking a generic question. Annoying thing is he does not contribute at all.

    And we write, write, write...
