You have more confidence, more ideas, you're happier, friendlier.

Is that how we're meant to be?

Are we just shells without the affect of alcohol?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a friendly and outgoing guy. I'd never attempt to compensate with drinking, I even quit for a year. So that I could become close to 100% health.

However, it's always got me thinking!

That does not apply to the millions who are alcoholics with ruined lives

    No doubt.

    The same with any addiction.

I'm talking about it towards a more chemical level, are we 60% of ourselves due to the society we have created?

Originally would there have been no depression, no anxiety just confidence and honesty?

Yea its always deep in us that more out-going / friendly / happy person but alcohol / marijuana definitely help bring that out in us.

You feel like shit, have nausea, feel like throwing up, your mind is fked up, can't concentrate, you're delusional.

Is that how we're meant to be?

Are we just shells without the affect of alcohol?
Are we so blind to life that we need alcohol to helps us experience it properly?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a friendly and outgoing guy. I'd never attempt to compensate with drinking, I even quit for a year. So that I could become close to 100% health.

If you think alcohol is good for ideas you should try shrooms.

    Much more intriguing.

...also more gambling involved with your psychology though...

I think you either don't eat or drink enough water when consuming alcohol. Or you simply drink too much.

That's what I'm asking. Has the way society shaped us, into following this routine that's been constructed for us that we're not fulfilling our natural potentials?

Have we de-volved? - Not really even a word!

No you are not more happy, confident or have good ideas. It makes you deluded into thinking this. Ever seen a drunk person when you are sober and thought he looks like an intelligent, happy confident person? Thought not. And more often than not people have stupid ideas when drunk. Do not get me wrong, I love a drink, but I am well past the stage of thinking it is funny, just a bad habit.
