I shamelessly stole that from Reddit, so I bet some of you may have seen this already. In order to verify, just follow the steps below!

1) Go to Google
2) Search for

3) Enjoy the results of "good" SEO on a religion related website.

nah, this is just the latest trick getting traffic

1. fuck the seo up a bit/hire any half decent bher to do that for you
2. get mentioned on reddit
3. profit?!

Okay now your's is actually a fail.
 
I wonder how many emails this dude received offering to correct that issue for a contract.
 
I doubt that's deliberate SEO, the guy would have gotten hacked by some crafty pharm spammer.
 
I don't see how that's a fail? More like a win.
 
I ran into a couple instances just like this when I was scraping a platform the other day. The weird thing is all the content on the sites were fine, just seemed like only the meta descriptions got jacked.
