    Hey guys,

I've been out of the SEO game for a long time (too much outsourcing!), so I got quite a few questions to come in the next few days; sorry in advance :D

I'll be sure to search around old threads before asking!

I recently launched my site, which is a local site (offline marketing).

I've built a HubPages account, and posted one hub for now. I didn't link it to my main site or anything. Thought it's probably a better idea to wait a little before I start linking and such.

So my question is, does anyone have any tips for using HubPages for linking purposes?

Hubpages should only be one part of your link wheel. Look into posting articles at places like Squidoo, Quizilla, Ezinearticles, Searchwarp and any other web2.0 and article directories you can find.

    Hi,

What i think is you can post links to your hub-pages from starting there is no problem with that. And regarding improving ranking in SERP what i found is circular linking works best. Its very beneficial for me. I got a real bang in the ranking for my sites.

Hubpages is good for backlinks. Your hub profile will likely gain some PR pretty easily.

The problem with hubpages is that they give you an author score based on their own metrics. If your author score is below 75 then your links on your hubs are no follow.

Like JackSparrow suggested, you will want to diversify.

Check out Targethut.com for a list of current web 2.0 properties.
