    Hi,

    I switched my website from http to https yesterday. It links out to one other site of mine, wich has gained incredibly in rankings. Only because my other website links to it. That progress took 2-3 months until I´ve seen results (no other links were built).

    I wonder if the juice will be immediately transfered from http to https to my other site? Or will my 2nd website lose all the rankings back again and I have to wait 2 months to regain it all?

    If so, I guees I´ll undo the https

    Yes but it counts the https as new site. So outgoing link will probably be resetted and count as new?

    I would be muuuuuch more concerned about backlinks than outgoing links.

    I switched 3 websites from http to https and never lost any position. On some easier keywords the sites even gained ranks.

    This used to be quite problematic a couple of years ago, but from my experience I haven't see any issues whatsoever.
    As long as the http version automatically redirects to the https you're fine.

    301 the http to https. That way even if the new site temporarily does not pass juice, the old site still does until the index settles.

    Thanks!

    I did redirect http to https via 301 in .htaccess and made all changes to wordpress. Everything works fine so far.

    This one worked best for me, I guess there is no problem here?
    Code:
    RewriteEngine On
    RewriteBase /
    RewriteCond %{HTTPS} !=On [NC,OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !=www.website.com [NC]
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://www.website.com/$1 [R=301,L]

    Other redirects did too many redirects like http:// rediretcs to http://www. redirects to https://www

    With that code it directly redirects each http to https://www.
