Not like that...supposedly you have a project that needs funding and we all 5k+ people fund your project. The project got a funding of $50k to make the necessary production. Now, things don't end here right? We want everyone to create momentum in such a way that big giants like Walmart or whatever notice us.

In Short, I share a method with the community which I know will yield good momentum and I share it with the community. Each member of the community uses the method to create huge momentum. We are already doing fb lives, twitter, fb...but something I might have missed...like Reddit is still not what we have used. Think like growth hacks...

well then you should add marketing budget in funding too. People are, by nature, lazy. If you are asking them to do some work too, as small as it may sound, after giving the money, it wont work with majority of people.

The other option can be offering them some shares or partnership in the project but 5k is a lot of people.

No almost 60% of them are action takers and btw with the stuff we have used the usual marketing stuff and have created a lot of buzz but I might have missed something that the community as a whole can use.

Agree with @Asif WILSON Khan Producthunt definitely one to look at as a bit like Reddit you have the opportunity to create accounts there and upvote, and most the stuff on here or on Stumbleupon end's up on Reddit especially if its free or offers something people have not seen before that is either useful or fun.

Reddit is always a tricky one, especially for what you are trying to do for a few reasons. I initially said to try make it work on sites like Facebook because they don't have a large community on there who are all wearing tin foil hats. You can just post then get traction by sharing, liking and essentially using the whole community to blast it everywhere either individually or direct to one main post / page post and stack the social engagement so high it inevitably gets traction.

What I mean is trying to get some traction on Reddit would require you to be squeaky clean in terms of intent ( how you are posting, reasons for posting ) and genuinely looking like you are not promoting an app or service to generate revenue, as you will be hard pushed to find an active sub-Reddit that allows / or is not sceptical of links direct to an app ect especially if you are posting from an account that is not aged or been a part of that community for a while.

Rule of thumb with Reddit is to post like you are some dude who just happened to stumble across something interesting, post in the 3rd person something like "My Brother/Friend spent 2 years making an app for XYZ, what does Reddit think?" this way you have a degree of detachment from the link or app and don't get bombarded with pitchforks from people looking to create drama as they already know you are not the creator or gonna benefit from people singing up to it.

A decent sub-reddit to try would be Ask Reddit - If you look at how that post progressed, imitating something like that would not be too difficult if you had the backing of 5k people all contributing, commenting and up-voting it.
Something along the lines of a post like "Grown tired of my phone apps, What are some good free apps to download and why?" then you would sprinkle your own app/service a long with other upcoming apps or trending apps as a form of camouflage, if done right you would end up with a post that mirror's that link with other users consolidating you into a list of apps that inevitably find there way into all kinds of news articles, blogs and other social.

Obviously it's never that easy, so it will take a large portion of your community to get some social stacking on what you are trying to do, like I said before you need to find a way to know what kind of assets are present in that community of 5K people, if they are really willing to help they should in some way be willing to let you know what kind of accounts they are sat on. If you have people with aged Reddit accounts, large Facebook pages, decent amounts of twitter followers it will only help the strategy you are trying to put together.

Sorry if this is a bit jumbled and rambley, tired today

So if I understand correctly, you have a community of 5k people and you are all cross-promoting each others products or something like that? So there is an incentive there for everyone to help each other out?
And you want new ways that you can all collaborate and make use of your large number to further promote your products?

How about something like a centralised and efficient marketing system - for example, you launch a new product and then you have a marketing blueprint that documents all of the components and tasks required to promote the product (For example X shares on twitter, X mentions on facebook, X mentions on XYZ forum, X posts on reddit, X number of upvotes for each post on reddit etc). And you have all of this stuff in the form of a hierarchical list and each person allocates one or more parts of that list as their responsibility which they then fulfil. Something a bit like microworkers but more organised and focused on a larger plan.

So you could have a very large marketing strategy that would look totally legit but in reality the entire thing is undertaken collaboratively by your community.

Then you somehow insentivise members to complete that plan.

No..we together as a community promote many products that we have helped in funding. We do not have any of our own products, we promote the projects we all have backed. We already have a social system in place where we got Twitter, fb and Pinterest and eevry time a community members posts on Twitter or FB he gets rewarded that is what we already have in place. I am just wondering what else I could do to drive massive amounts of traffic. We have done fb lives and the otehr social stuff but I still feel we as a community can do something.

    How about Reddit upvotes?

This is one HUGE community helping each other so don't you think we all would benefit from this?
