How would you utilize an active community of 5k+ people willing to help each other succeed. I need something social related so we can create more excitement and engagement. We are doing the normal promotion on social sites but something that I might have missed that can get stuff viral or at the least create some sort of engagement.

I know there is a lot of social media related stuff posted inside the forum but still there might be something I might have missed that can help in gaining traction.

Maybe some form of rewards program?
It doesn't have to pay cash or gifts, it could be as simple as the more shares and promotions people make, the higher up the ladder they move and the top 5-10 people get a special title.

I would create special groups inside the community, people who are capable of education others and lead them (or create a score board giving points for help and rank people) when you create a system that is giving points to other people you can expect more engagement

I mean people in this group are aware of all basic marketing stuff it's just that I need something that can help each and everyone inside the community help implement it so that everyone can get traffic. Eg. I have a method if I implement will get me 1k likes in a months time and if I share this with the community and each of that person applies it then imagine the potential.

Then if possible do a video/screen share of you building something from scratch and sharing analytics to prove traffic coming in. is that what you mean?

No man...we are a community and we are into crowdfunding and we need to get more eyeballs to our projects on social platform. Think of it like I am in need of growth hacks..we are already doing some but I need something that can have rapid growth.

Ok - so KPI's are impressions & clicks.

How about - Reddit community / Posts in relevant subreddits?
How about - Landing page for the community and linking to long tail keywords that drive traffic?

Without understanding your projects more I'm kinda shooting blanks here.

We basically help crowdfund projects and then we need to promote these projects on social media to gain more exposure. Like say we have crowdfunded a movie and we want to get more eyeballs to the movie now that it has been crowdfunded fully. We want something that the community can use(everyone) so that we can get more traffic and there is a chance that big dogs can notice us.

Well, if you have 5K active users you just need to find the right channel for your product and get those members to interact on the platform to increase awareness.

For example - producthunt or youtube - If you can get good enough engagement then you can get ranked easily in the top

It might sound weird and this is just something that popped to mind.

You say you have 5k in the community that are willing to all help each other grow together? You also have the majority of these users with some kind of marketing knowledge or growth hacking knowledge and I imagine most are sat on large facebook pages, twitter accounts etc ect.

Have you thought of doing something like a gimmick or viral trend that the whole community can bolster so that it spreads like wild fire?

What I mean is something you can all simultaneously share across all social platforms that becomes viral / trending, and benefits you all as a whole either via traffic or the connections to bigger media outlets that it generates? OR can be replicated easily to have continued growth for each of the users that try it.

An example would be something like the "Ice Bucket Challenge" that was a gimmick created and shared to grow awareness of the disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), this simply spread like wildfire due to its viral nature and context of its purpose to generate funds for charitable sources. More recently there has been weird trends such as the "Tide Pod Challenge" which were simply a gimmick / meme that thousands of people bought into and participated in. These are two ends of the same spectrum and show that stupid or honourable stuff can spread like wildfire.

Put simply you have 5k people with the potential to simultaneously share and get trending something that benefits the whole community, so its just a case of collectively spit balling ideas and using some of the skills present in that community to make it work.

It has been done with less users very easily, Platforms such as Twitch have many examples of Gamers utilising there live viewers to simultaneously like tweets, and become trending on twitter its just a case of getting every user on board at the same time.

Get people to share clips of the movie or have them make trailers for the movie and share them.

Twitch is a good idea considering we have a game which I think will be bigger than Pokemon Go :)

Oh yeah for sure! IRL (In Real Life) streaming of games in the same vain as Pokemon Go on Twitch were huge upon release, If you are developing a game that requires people to go to locations to receive rewards or play then it might be an idea to establish people who are willing to get in front of a camera and stream game play, with other members of the community helping grow awareness for the game and these accounts as a whole. This will help the game be picked up by other streamers or by establishing them as influencers, and I know for a fact there are a bunch of folks waiting for IRL content to stream as games of this type to play on the move have been pretty sparse lately with Pokemon go's popularity declining and levelling off.

Like I said before the power is within your community, if you have a lot of gamer's in there then this is something that could be easily made to work, or at least grow awareness for the game being developed. Plus with streaming on sites like twitch or others, you have ready made video content you can spread around.

What do you think about Reddit with 5k people? Insane amounts of traffic or there is a chance that Reddit might trace it considering the same amount of people upvoting it.

firstly are you looking to reward your existing 5k community
    or
are you looking to find a way where your 5k community can help you (or anyone) in doing/accomplishing something?

This is a community helping each other for our projects to get more traction on social media. So each and every member will be using the same tactic.

    alright then

you can simply make a portal/forum where people can post their requirements or requests based on their earned points

Lets say member A of your community got 25 points based on his posts or participation

He can then use these points to post a request or requirements. For example member A needs free content for his new website

Other members who have access to that resource can complete the request and get some points in return

    everyone will he happy
