    Hello,

I'm wondering how you would be selling SaaS products for small businesses?

Do you think cold-emailing and Facebook groups would work?

Let's say your product costs 50 dollars and you want to promote it but you are having limited resources for marketing?

    Thanks!

It depends what your service does, but generally linkedin, facebook groups, quora, youtube and maaaybe cold email. And do all of them, not just one :p

Let's say it's some service for digital agencies. They will mostly benefit from this product. I was thinking about going in Facebook groups related to agency/marketing and write long posts about how I save a ton of time by doing something, that helped me with X problems and so on. Then they will be asking what product and I will help them in chat and try to redirect them to the landing page.

I think I can get a few customers this way.

Also, I believe from the beginning approaching potential customers with cold-emails.. Cold emails that are short and personalized.

Just imagine you are having a really amazing product that you know it's worth, and you sell it to the clients for 90 dollars/monthly. With amazing customer service you can keep these clients for a long time and you can easily scale this idea.

Facebook groups work well for this. @ugjunk is a prime example of this.

@ugjunk can you give us some advice here? :) How you had success with Facebook groups? Or maybe redirect us to a thread where you described it if you did. That would be awesome :)

    Thank you!

Currently in the middle of doing this. SEO agencies are the target and aren't very easy sell to.

So far been cold emailing for about a week with my Saas sign up not working for half of that sent about 80 emails off so far and cold calling as of last night 15 calls

Been in two meetings and got a meeting booked for Tuesday. Slow going and hard work. To think learning to code for a year was the easy bit.

Hmu if you want to discuss tactics or whatever

You are on the right track. This is what worked for me in the past very well:

1- Obtain email addresses of targeted businesses
2- Send emails in a way that it won't end up in the spam or social folders. Getting your pitch across requires some work.
3- Reply to emails who respond. Send drip emails to those who do not respond. Keep emailing until they tell you to stop or yell at you. Send auto sequence emails to those who responded but disappeared again.
4- Book appointments. We use Calendly.
5- Once you have them on the phone then it all depends on how good you are in sales.

This is how I started. I did above for about a year with 0 dollars in the marketing budget. Gained about 133 clients and then Instagram changed everything so now at point 0 again :) Learnt a lot of digital marketing though. Hope my experience will help others in this forum.

The same way as I sell anything else. Put a valuable product in front of an interested group. Doesn't matter if it's software, lead gen or some crap from China.

I think Alex Becker is a great example for marketing SaaS. What he does is creates lots of videos around the benefits of his product and always mentions very clearly how the consumer can make money/save time/save energy with his SaaS product. What he used to do in the past was that he bundled the SaaS product together with a high ticket program to be able to aggressively advertise the SaaS product.
