What if you had a niche specific group of people, lets say between 100 - 300 people that you kept track of and spoke to on a monthly basis. How would you monetize them? I know that I can obviously sell them a product, but what other options are there? I was considering doing something like sending out a newsletter with a clickable (mylikes ad) and asking them to click it but I know that's against there terms. But Mylikes also has articles that they pay you to share so maybe if I use those to make content and share it with that group. My only concern is that I've heard mylikes shave a lot. Actually I've witnessed it myself.

Anyway, I know people on this site are crazy about affiliate programs and selling products and they are right to be, selling products really is the "best" way to make money. But I'd like to build something that's auto-pilot, steady and scalable. I'm not interested in huge variables and crossing my fingers, my lifestyle doesn't support it at the moment.

I was brainstorming and I figured why not ask BHW what they would do, any input would be greatly appreciated.

Beside your own product or an affiliate product related to the niche, you won't make any money with 100-300 members. Especially not from anything like mylikes or adsense.

You have a targeted group of people and your first thought of monetizing them was Mylikes? Ah geez.
You could build a site and put Adsense on it + Affiliate links and keep mailing them about posts. And once/twice a week send them a few "discounted" products through mail. These will be your Affiliate Links again of course. And yes,Adsense won't make you much until you grow the group's audience.

You should create an informational product to sell with good content marketing. If you simply share the link of your product you will have bad conversions (especially on Facebook).
Having an audience so slamm is not necessarily a flaw, but must have an interest in common, be interested in your product.

If you move in the right direction I think you can sell at least 50 products (if your audience is 300 people).
That's more than 15% of conversion but you need to invest something in your Content Marketing plan.

Here an example:

Product price: $ 47 (that's a good price for a product in my opinion).
You sell: 50 copies
Total: 2350

Content Marketing expenses: from 200 to 500 (to create at least 10 great and valuable contents).
Product creation expenses: near to $ 200

Your income: $ 1800 (with 16% of your 300 people).

To reach these results you should go for a mailing list too, for this reason start by offering free tutorials and resources and grap their mails.

The main problem is the target of your group and your ability to aim in the right direction :)

Yeah that was the same conclusion I came to. I have a service so I'm probably going to move forward with that.

Hey I made some okay money from Mylikes in the past lol I have some Adsense sites and most of them already check out my content. I'm considering having a range of products to sell rather than selling other people's products unless I really like them. But yes, I'm banking on the group growing that's why I'm looking for an adsense/mylikes approach as well if that makes any sense.

Arganrecords: I'm having trouble replying to your post because BHW keeps marking it as spam.

I'm more than likely going to sell 100 - 300 products as this is a group that already has purchased from me or is interested. I'm going to go with a monthly service. The thing is I wanted to see if there was a way to monetize other people that don't buy that way I can give away some freebies. Follow me?

would start a membership site around these people and sell access to the content like all the big guru's do.

And do you think you can start to sell your crappy memberships from Day 1?
Come on, all gurus are building their image in years!

What the hell happened to BHW? How is the constructive? What makes you think the service is crappy if you've never seen it? How do you know I haven't already made money from it? And who says someone can't sell their service from day one? Not everyone is tossing up services they've outsourced to Fiverr. Some people are professionals in other fields and have people that approach them everyday for their services.

Mine wasn't an answer to your question and did not mean to talk about your service.
BuildMoreLinks is speaking about creating a membership site but do you know how can be hard sell something with this method?

You should create real value and you can't really make money (real money) from day 1 :) (people really need to trust in you and you can't build trust around you and your products in few months).
If you want to dream no probs, but we're here to make things happen.

ahh sorry lol yeah I've been developing for the service for years. Basically all I'm doing is dropping the price significantly so that I can guarantee some sales and build the business and reputation.
