also would take screenshots of your desk at set intervals?

Would you feel annoyed? Micromanaged? If you had no choice and needed a job you would have to deal with it, no?

I am not talking about outsourcing etc but actually a salaried employee of a company whom you know and have interacted with in person etc.

Lots of major companies just the emp have no clue. Its hidden on all that legal junk you sign when you start your job. If you are not doing anything wrong its should not be an issue.

At least he doesnt take screenshots of ur desktop? How would you feel about that?

Also the software tracks how much you are typing and gives you a low score if you aren't active enough.

Yes I am aware of that but as far as I know most don't take screenshots of your desktop but just track the websites visited.

Keeping track of how much you type also seems micromanaging if its not data entry and requires thinking

If I had to deal with it, obviously there would be nothing I could do about it and just watch porn at home like a normal person.

Employee monitoring software is becoming increasingly common unfortunately. We have it for most people at my work.
