OK. I managed to find my lovely niche in big city where I live.

For keyword I would like to rank, there is only two competitors (one has 7 backlinks back to the website, another 28). I could buy new domain and beat them, but I still believe that Google look at the "age" of the domain so it will be hard for me to claim top in lets say 2-3 weeks. However, I don't want to rank new website so I checked these two to see is there any chance to buy the domain from them. Both websites looks below average - poor design, zero knowledge about SEO, I guess the websites ranked in Google just like that. I would like to buy one of them and change it completely and monetize it straight after (got a few ideas).

I am just thinking how to convince them so they willing to sell me their domain? I don't have much money, so I cannot pay for it in thousands of dollars. The good thing is that are probably not sure how sweet their domain ranking in Google's SERP. They for sure have no SEO knowledge, and probably don't even know what "domain" means.

What you could offer them so they give up domain for you?

Tell them to sell you their "website" because you can see that they don't really use it and you need to find a gift for your niece <- I used that once in a toy niche

Hmm, thank you for your answer. That could be this. What I was thinking is maybe I will gonna redesign their website for free and move it under new domain which I will gonna buy for them (believe me, you haven't see for long such a poor website ;P). Win-win situation, they will gonna get top notch design, I will get their domain.

Tell them that you help businesses to sell websites on Flippa, and that you don't ask for upfront payment, but instead work for 30% of the sale.

Then list, buy and enjoy 30% off.

You could just assure them that you could turn the site into a huge profit, and cut them a slice of it.

Simply ask them IF their domain name is violating some US law. They will soon lose sleep over why did you asked so, and will follow you to the end of the world to get them out of any trouble...

    j/k; please don't do it... :)
