How would PayPal know what you're running behind closed doors of a paid members only part of a forum, if it's only for paid members?

What if the entire forum was a normal/general site but there was an invisible section where only members can access by paying a fee, can PayPal demand to see what's behind closed doors?

No they cant, but they wont allow payment option for adult forums.

I understand, but how would they know if what I'm showing behind closed doors is "g-rated" or "x-rated"?
 
If you are reported and they shut you down (which they will ) you will lose all your rebills (if you are recurring). If you are processing cards with them (not just paypal direct deposit) you might be subject to implications from VISA as well, and trust me they are total aholes there.
 
Disguise it! Instead of offering a "membership" per se, sell a collector coupon novelty item (or something along those lines) so they're not PAYING for a membership, they're paying for the item BUT if they buy the item (and keep buying it every month) they'll gain access to the members section.

I think you get the idea. ;)

I figured I'd post a response here instead or replying to your PM so others can chime in (or learn).

You could have two sites. Site A would be the adult site and site B is the "white hat" site or better put, the legit looking site. Site A might have a membership for porn and direct the user to site B to buy the "Website evaluation service" on site B. Site B would sell generic "Website evaluation services" and mention nothing of site A. PayPal would never know what you were doing. All they would see is "Website evaluation service" sold and think nothing more than a site selling their services, totally legal as far as they're concerned.

Just make sure the "whois" does not show both sites (A and B) as the owner. If someone tried to do a chargeback and show paypal site B and where it states that you have to buy the "Website evaluation services" to gain access, you can rebutt that by saying that you don't own site B and have no idea why that website is sending visitors to your website to purchase. You then thank them for bringing that to your attention so you can investigate and demand they not link to your site anymore. :)

I would send a generic "Thank you for your business, everything checks out okay." email to each member that pays you. The reason for this is if they complain to paypal to try and charge back, you can show PayPal the email you sent them from Site B (the good site) that reads "Thank you for your business, everything checks out okay.", which proves that you performed a service, possibly checking their website to make sure they've optimized it correctly for search engines perhaps.

Hi,

Be careful, as someone said, very rightly PP are complete a$$holes.
They'll shaft you at the first sniff of a rule breach.

I looked at the disguise option, would've worked, but you get a load of freeloaders that will sign-up, get your content/features/access etc then go for a complaint or charge-back.

They'll get their money back and in the process drop some sh!te into the complaint that will set the alarm. It only takes one of them to say it's adult stuff and thats it...

Also - very easy for your competitors to tip them off and shaft you over.

I ended up with CCB!LL and N0Chex on one of mine - works great.

There are loads of adult merchants out there, many can charge quite high fees, or hold back money for quite a long time.

Try to get referrals from people with live active sites, check they use that merchant too!!, before signing up, some of them, I wouldn't trust with a penny!!

With n0chex, I basically sent an email telling them what the site was, content etc and they said ok, no probs.

Why not make it like this set up a fake webhosting site :p When a member pays for hosting they get the VIp or what ever they are paying for.
 
Look ... unless you have another site where you tell people that the paid section of your G rated site is an X rated paid section ... who would join?

Why not just use verotel or ccbil? Jeeze.
