I really do not like the idea of creating a bunch of fake accounts and talking to myself, nor the idea of copying scraped conversations from the Internet. I want original, well-written content. I'm not financially ready to hire writers and there is no way I'm going to hire someone from India, that just sounds ridiculous, they can hardly speak English.

What is the general timeline, if there is one, where the forum might pick up? I'm not looking for a get rich quick scheme, nor hoping to get 100 members only to hit them with a CPA offer. I want to have a reputable community much like BHW. Would a year be too early to gain success?

In order to enter the market, are sub-niche's my only option? There is no way I'm going to reign supreme purchasing "computerforums.com", as nobody would come. How deep down the rabbit hole would I need to travel, in terms of niches?

Computers > Teaching Computers > Teaching Computers to Squirrels > Teaching Computers to Female Squirrels

I think that's how it works. What's the difference between micro and sub niche?

If you want to do it completely white hat I would build a niche blog around what you want your forum to do and promote the crap out of that. After it takes off then start a forum and plug your forum from your blog - probably work best with controversial stuff where people want to have ongoing conversations that your blog post inspired.

You could also get the Blackhatzen forum generator.it's available here on BHW. It's working for me.

You can hire native English speaking writers to post on the forum for you. I hired a few off DP in the past, and I specified native English speakers only. I even made them do a test post before they were hired.

You're going to pay more per post, but it saves you having to delete unintelligible posts. I believe I paid 10 cents per post and it was for a Smallville TV show forum. The project ended up not working out but it wasn't because of the post writing, as I was actually pretty pleased with what I got. It was because there are already too many Smallville forums, and even bigger forums with Smallville discussion sections.

You definitely have to go sub niche to get a decent community and not compete with the big boys...

I don't know what's for you the indians peoples but I can tell you a thing if you wanna come close to the success of any other decent forum you need '' power man force '' what means this ? easy loads of little funny crap threads ( * similar with billions of threads with 99% xrumer threads from here ) .... or the '' thank you '' / '' review copy please '' from DP .. :) so a bunch of indians workers will be great for ya lamo

    Go for blackhatzen's forum generator.

Whenever I see a forum only has a few hundred active members, I move on and look for the most popular forum in the niche. I'm sure this is true for a large portion of internet users.

    Basically...
blackhatzen + blackhat SEO to get to top of Google = success!

If my niche was "Post pictures of your Cat holding a sign that said [BHW]", I really doubt any software could generate that. The forums I'm looking to make are going to be based around what my members contribute. All original. Do tell how this generator works though.

Wasn't BHW originally just BlackHat SEO? Then it got so vast it expanded? There are far too many forums I want to start. I hate my ideas.

    Yeah just try it

I started a funny cat blog, but I just gave up on it, even though some people found it absolutely hilarious.

I'm going to try it, I already have my domain and pick of forum software. One question. Lets say the forum had to do with guns, drugs or stealing. Can I get in trouble? What about a disclaimer "This is for educational purposes only". I don't want to be blamed for what we teach.
