I want to know if anyone knows who I can contact about creating my own clothing line and I want to have my company logo on the tags on the back of the shirts, pants, shoes and what ever else I make no fruit of the loom my logo.

So if you know who to contact let me know !

Depends on what kind of apparrel business you plan on doing...
Funny t-shirts? Opening up a boutique brick and mortar?
A few more details will be needed to push you into the right direction. Undertaking a new clothing line is a complicated business with many pitfalls...you will need to do your due dillegence in research before getting into it. A significant number of people who try to get into it, do not turn a profit.

Same goes for IM too. :)
You just need a good idea.

I've had success with BigCartel, but that was for unofficial shirts I made attached to a specific band.

PM me if you want to ask specific questions. I was involved from step one of a local t-shirt label that grew pretty big in my area.

Well I want to make a brand I have lots of ideas for it I just want to know were do I go to learn more about it on making a brand ?

whats a specific question? do you have AIM? I could help you greatly, as Ive been involved with a shirt company that has gone big around my area.

I PMed you my MSN

Well if anyone can point me were to go it'll be a big help

If you can make a prototype like one shirt one pair of jeans etc I can get them made in bulk..But you also have to have an idea on selling the clothing. I also can point you in the right direction on how to get your clothes in stores very fast. Go to the ASD trade show in Las Vegas. Buyers for every major department store in the world attend these shows and place massive orders.

there's a lot that goes into it. first, as someone above said, u need prototypes. then u find a reasonably priced manufacturer. many of these are often in china. then u need to hook up with a few small boutiques or your own boutique to help get your name out there, and build a following.
if you are talking something more simple like t-shirts that are premade and you simply want to put your logo or tag inside and graphics on them, there are many suppliers of such things, espcially in china. you can also find custom tag makers if you want sewn-in tags.

lol, I offered you help if you would contact me on AIM and you sent me your MSN ID. I said I dont use MSN and you replied with "well I dont use AIM". Kinda rude, considering I could help you out a lot. Oh well I guess lol.

edit: and to the person above..you dont need prototypes at all. I actually wouldnt even recommend prototypes for someone just starting out because you would need minimums (in the thousands) before they would even consider doing business with you. The tshirt apparel industry is a cutthroat industry, and its alot tougher than you think. People look at a stupid shirt they see at the mall and say " I could design a better shirt" and even if they could, I bet it wouldnt sell nearly as well as that shittier shirt. What they dont see is the tens of thousands of dollars in marketing budgets those companies have in place to establish their brands.

If you use trillian you can have AIM, MSN and Yahoo, all running at the same time on the same messenger.

Whats trillian ?

How do people do IM without the tools I don't know.
Trillian is a proprietary multiprotocol instant messaging application for Windows, Mac OS X, iPhone OS, BlackBerry, Android, and the Web, created by Cerulean Studios. It can connect to multiple IM services, such as AIM, ICQ, Windows Live Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, IRC, Novell GroupWise Messenger, Bonjour, XMPP, and Skype networks; as well as Social Networks, such as Facebook, Twitter and MySpace; and email services, such as POP3, IMAP, Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo! Mail.

Initially released July 1, 2000, as a freeware IRC client, the first commercial version (Trillian Pro 1.0) was published on September 10, 2002. The program was named after Trillian, a fictional character in The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams. The old version of the official web site even used to have a shrine to Douglas Adams on its front page.

The newest major release of Trillian for Windows, called Trillian Astra (4.0), was launched on August 14, 2009, along with its own Astra network. Trillian Astra has a free version and also a premium version with extra features. Trillian for iPhone, the first mobile version of the software, was launched on November 18, 2009.

According to the official blog, Trillian clients for iPhone OS (1.2), BlackBerry, Android[1], Mac and the Web are also under development.[2]

Trillian 5 for Windows was announced on July 1, 2010 with the first beta build to be released in the coming weeks.[3]

you want info, and i got firsthand information but im not going to jump through hoops to help you. i didnt tell you to download anything, but i guess if you cant even go through the effort of getting aol instant messenger than i guess you dont want info bad enough. anyways goodluck with your clothing line.

some tips: you better know your demographics better than you know the back of your hand.
people buy into brands more than they buy into individual designs.
have a marketing plan in place.

cafepress is not where you want your brand to be seen if youre trying to build a strong brand. services like cafepress that are print on demand will cheapen your brand. however, there are certain (very few) cafepress shops that are making tons of money, but they are the ones spending thousands and thousands of dollars on marketing. hope that helps.
