I know a lot of people use web2.0-s as buffers between their money site and spam/PBN links.
    Let's say :
a.) I send a PBN PR 3 link straight to my money site.
b.) I send a PBN PR 3 link to web2.0 that has a link to my money site.

How much of a boost should I expect from the option b compared to option a? Let's say with option a I get 100% link juice but how much would I get with option b?

    Thank you!

The more important aspect of this is to keep your money site safe.

It depends on a PBN...if it's your own PBN, then pointing it directly to your money site is OK, but it's a PBN that has been openly advertised, pick option B instead.

Yes like Ezines says, it depends on the "quality" of the PBN.

If you own it or it's a VERY trusted set-up, then it is fine to directly link to your money site.

This is right. As for how much power is lost using web 2.0s as the buffer, we don't know exactly the percentages. Some of it will be related to how many outbound links are on the page. We also don't know how much Google discredits web 2.0s relative to normal website links. You kind of have to look at the costs / benefits of both methods.

This is how I have been thinking about this set up.

Right now I can't afford my own PBN but I have access to some PBN links.

My plan is to rank sites with this pbn, save to get my own pbn and even if the sites with these "temp pbn links" drop in serps I would already have cash to get my own pbn.

I think targetting your web2.0s is good as technically you are building a 2 tier blog network which might proof to be better than just a pbn, THOUGH for the time being im going 100% for the idea to target my money sites with these "temp pbn links" while I make my sites rank and hopefully bring enough cash.

Obviously once I have my own PBN set up, there's no need for the web2.0s as buffer sites, but it is still a good idea to have both to diversify platforms etc.
