I've help him out making his dollar into gaypal.

Now, withdraw it to "real money" is a problem as I'm not Philipine, I never live there, so I won't know and don't have any clue.

I believe there are many good Filipino here.

Your Filipino friend must first - have a real credit card and verify his account.
Or he must have a bank account to be able to withdraw funds from fayfal.

Advised your Filipino friend to approach the nearest UnionBank Branch and tell him to open an account called EON. EON is a visa debit card, it used to allow online application, don't know why it stop. Just tell him to bring 2 valid IDs and have it photocopied and Php350.00 for the yearly fee.

    Hope this helps.

My friend here is a cyber cafe attendant.
That's why he can online doing MMO stuff.

His salary is 150 pesos per week!
Can't open a bank account with that.

Anyway, if I ask him to borrow from someone, how long it should be from gaypal into bank, and how much is the fee?

How much need to open a bank account in PH and how much is the minimum amount on gaypal so if he borrow from friends, he can pay it back while having some for a living...

    Thanks guys...
    Appreciate this...

I feel I was unfortunate, but there's so many are much more unfortunate than I do. :(
    Feel want to cry.

150 pesos a week is just way EXAGGERATION!

Noone in their right mind would go for a job that pays $3 week and I dont even think that theres such thing. I have been in the Philippines long enough to know. My dad owns food stalls and his staff's daily salary for selling french fries and other finger foods is almost 300 Pesos a day or $6/day.

    Someone is surely lying!

Have you met your friend on dating site?

If youre too eager to help your friend, why not send your funds via western union? No hassle, No waiting and No fuzz

    cheers

might be worth checking out xoom .com - you can send from Paypal to pick up from Moneygram outlets in the Philippines - fees start at $3.50

1.) ask the person to sign up for an "EON" account in unionbankph.com (choose the nearest bank branch near him/her)

2.) prepare P300 pesos for the "debit card" plus bank required documents such as, photocopy of 3 different kinds of IDs

3.) wait for the debit card to be released by the bank, then ask him/her to input the debit card information in his/her gaypal account and it should verify his/her account

Just a friendly reminder, make sure to withdraw an amount of more than 7k pesos to avoid any gaypal to eon withdrawal fees.

Based on my observations and experience. During the very first withdrawal of money got my paypal limited even if I already Input my debit card. the only way to remove the limit is to go to the resolution area of your paypal account and submit all required documents as proof of yer identity.

in my case, I submitted scanned images of my passport and transcript of records from school and the internet billing statement LOL

    hope that helps

Hey Snow, It could be if they were "live in" I know house helpers make around 1000 php/month in some province on Cebu. On some of the smaller Islands it could be possible for a live in situation for sure.

My brother in law was making $1 a day for construction clean up, and that was some hard work. [not live in situation]

These salaries do exist, but are not able to live on such work without support from the rest of the family.

I know where you are familliar with, and there it would be impossible. It would depend where they are at.

But they may still be lieing, or just working for their own familly.

I can understand the salary for some house helpers
But the working rate in Cebu is almost the same as Manila

If hes saying that his friend works in a internet shop, it would still be unbelievable for him to be payed $3 week since internet connection fee both in Manila and Cebu is almost the same as well as the per hour rate rental. I know this for a fact because I have toured several places in the Philippines and been to internet shops. I went last October in Roxas City and their internet rental fee is like 30 pesos per hour.

$1 a day for construction? how is that? I remember paying 500 pesos a day for a guy who reinstalled our tiles

    mmmm

it really depends on the place..in the provinces the life is very different unlike if your living in the metropolis..our maid at home we just gets 1000 pesos a month..its like 20$ a month

    back to original topic..

all she need is a bank account that can be attached to the paypal..for me it just takes about 6 days to withdraw it into mine

you can also try xoom.com but sometimes paypal limits the account if they try to withdraw through xoom

    @ sasori
    I'm not a Pinoy.
    I'm Indonesian.

But I can understand tagalod a little.

    @ drjeckyll
I ask him to do make a web, put articles and then we flip it. Beside we also making money from adsense, using open-x to rotate his ads and mine so it will be fair on same placement.
Right now got some $280++ on his gaypal. <== His hard earned money. I have enough fooling him... Now time to help.

@snowhite, you never go out I guess. The salary is true. Beside this economic down time makes desperate people go for any job. Try to go to rural area and see what people eat? What people do... My friend said, he walks on foot around 3KM back and forth to the Cyber Cafe every evening and night from his homw which made from zink roof. The wall is a zink roof, the roof is a zink too... Get water from an underground water pump.
    He still a student.
It's a part time job see.
    Evening to late at night.
    Day he go to college.

He was just helper/cleanup I have had high rates for painting our house in Cebu.

Agreed, $3 a day is more believable and is more the going rate in Cebu.

I have paid 15 php an hour for internet cafe in cebu [not in a mall i assure you]

And now to get this back on topic, he needs a bank account to withdraw to.

and that requires money to open. If he needs help to get going, pm me.

Xoom .com is definitely the way to go, but the minimal amount you can send is $25usd + $4.99 for the transfer fee. The money is sent instantly to a pick up location and 24hrs for direct deposit. I've been using them for a while now. :)

Singa I actually do go out, I have visited several provinces in the Philippines. I have been to slums and some poor communities. Sometimes one need not be melodramatic in life. Being poor doesnt mean the end of the world.

    Where is your friend from?

Since youre overly emphasizing your friend being so poor, why make it complicated? Just send the money via western union or xoom as simple as that.

Try xoom.com but gaygal must be verified first, or else your payment will just bounce back to your gaygal, also try to use coupon code, most coupon code offer free charge.

Is the money is already in his gaypal account? If that so, if he badly need that money and can't open an EON account, he can use the service of one of the trusted pinoy in manila but he charge 10% of the total amount. Let him to visit
    Code:
    www.paymanila.com
I use already his service 4 times now even though I have a eon debit card.

That's what I want to hear...
    Western Union...
I forgot that, oh boy... :p

But not sure yet, if there's any nearest branch available.
    Hope they have.

So meaning, he transfer all his money into my account then I sent a western union money...

    Very internal and nice...
But not the cheapest I think...
As western union fee is quite high here...

But much more convenient than borrow money from peopel.

We have that called Vistual Credit Card... :p
    No hassle...
