I just bought a digital service for 500$, but only have of what I bought has been given to me and under false advertising. I payed as goods so not as family and friends or gift so I think I can win. I just don't know whether I should say it was digital or say it was goods? I checked off that it doesn't require shipping, how can I possibly win this and get my 500$ back?

P.S This is not on ebay and im sorry that this is not in another section but I know you guys have good experience with paypal

Well trust me, we don't. The majority of us hate Paypal. If you provide accurate information, you have a decent shot at winning. Just hope for the best. Be careful in the future when it comes to paying for services online.

If its digital you should win. SOmeone claimed unapproved payment against me on paypal and won in minutes because it did not meet seller protection requirements. Digital goods aren't protected, they have no way of proving they sent it that pp would approve.

    should be able to win.

Different with physical goods I would think.

    Provide honest accurate information.

Ive won multiple disputes over virtual goods, but only by being totally honest and professional, and only when i have had a genuine issue.

write in your comment that if it doesn't go your way you will do a chargeback of your credit card, even if you can't chargeback threaten to do it, it works for me.

so literally just say "I purchased virtual goods, the buyer had false advertisement and never delivered what he promised." but longer offcourse

or should I go so far into details like "I purchased a minecraft server from this user for 500$ and he never delivered his side of the deal."

Don't get me wrong but I am little bit suspicious of you.
    What exactly did you buy?
    What is wrong with it?

Usually with digital goods its whats you see is whats you get. I am under impression that you are trying to get something for free.

So does it protect the buyer or seller?

Okay imagine this, I have a website and I say look at these screens of my earnings from past month 500$. So I buy the site for 1000$, two days later I find out that 50% of that 500$ was just the owner buying stuff and making it seem like it was other people. Would that not count as a scam and false advertisement? I contacted him and he keeps calling me stupid and immature.

It could be both. The seller was scamming and the buyer is stupid and immature for falling to such a simple scam.

Do both... calling him out isn't going to cost you anything if you genuinly think he did something wrong.

If someone says I am selling you a site for $1K and my last month earning where $500, I need to be an complete newbie( I don't want to use harsh words ) to believe in that.
Usually sites are selling for x10 the monthly profit.

Anyway I feel for you, I actually do. I hope you will return your money and return the site back.

As an paypal seller of a digtial good (ebook), what happens from my end when a buyer disputes, is paypal immediately deducts the amount from the seller. They will hear both sides and then award whoever the amount. So if you disputing right now, it shows -$500 for the seller.

My suggestion is make sure you send out a lot messages in the dispute. If the seller doesn't respond they will usually award it to you. The seller risks losing their entire paypal account, so they should refund you.

Link your paypal to a creditcard, that way you are protected from this sort of scam.
If the seller is a member of BHW you should do your civic duty and report him.

This is not a website, its similar to it. I thank you!

Some people are saying saying digital will hurt me and others help me! So I should say that it was digitall?

Why forget about my money? and there was nothing I could do.

Yea I probably should have, no not a BHW Member

No not Flippa or a website, but similar.
