    Hello Guys,
Can someone give me a tip on how to check expired domains if they have a valid PR?

My question arises from the fact that e.g. I am able to get a list with domains that are expired from register compass.

Problem is how can I double check and verify if those domains have a valid PR?

Some of the domains which are expired are unable to be verified and are being shown in register compass as "unvalidatable".

I am assuming that its impossible to be done, but yet I wanted to ask in order to be sure.

Also is there a chance for a domain which is being shown as PR3 in register compass to be actually PR0 ?

    Thanks

I dont understand why you're unable to do it with a simple PR checking tool.

Anyway if the server is down or not, you should see the PR. No?

Yeah just use a normal PR checking tool.
If the domain shows up as N/A, its not because its expired it for some other reason (happens to registered domains as well).
But always do due diligence even if the PR does show up as it is easy to fake PR.

do a couple of quick searches in google
site:domain.com (to see if there are real pages still indexed)

info:domain.com (to see if the actual domain comes up. If a different one is shown then someone has probably 301'd a good domain or two to fake the PR)

Use majestic SEO to check the link quality and actually have a look at some of the links to make sure they are real and the kind of links you are after (adult links, or pharma links are not always good).

It's a good idea to check for links... That's true than a site with PR must, at least, have few links.
