I have bought proxies for running instagram app and managing few profiles, problem is I have added the proxy in wifi settings it works in browser and shows correct ip, but instagram is not using the proxy, i know this by seeing the login location it shows correct location. Is Instagram bypassing proxy?

Proxies don't change your login's location when logging in from the Android and iOS clients, they use the phone's location data with gps for that.

Location with ip only changes on desktop that too when all instagram cached data is cleared.

Yes, they do, just use one of the apps I've mentioned. Just reinstall the IG app and perform a new login in the account. You can check in the activity tab that you have a new login gps location from the proxy's IP address location.

try this.

Android proxy settings
  1. Open your Android's Settings.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap and hold the Wi-Fi Network Name.
  4. Select Modify Network.
  5. Click Advanced Options.
  6. Tap Manual.
  7. Change your proxy's settings. Enter the hostname and proxy port (e.g. us.smartproxy.com:10101). You can find the full list in your dashboard.
  8. Tap Save.

Do you know this process for an I phone anyone?

Usually for phones, you gotta apply them on the settings but this varies per system and model. Check detailed instructions online. Now for PCs, anti-detect browsers with mobile proxies are great. For phones, it might be trickier since some apps are known to check info like IMEI and GPS and such. You'll want some proxifier like apps for your phone maybe? Don't normally use phones for these things so that's what I got on the top of my head. Good luck.

How to setup proxy on iPhone

1. Go to the "Settings" app on your iPhone.
2. Scroll down and tap on "Wi-Fi."
3. Press and hold on the Wi-Fi network you're connected to.
4. Tap on "Configure Proxy"
5. Select "Manual" and enter the proxy server's address and port number. If needed (depending on proxy provider) add add username and password for authentication.
6. Save the changes and reconnect to the Wi-Fi network.
Please note that this option may not be available for all the versions of iOS.

Thanks for that. Do you know what versions of IOS it is available?

This has been tried and only works for http which is no good. The proxy that needs to be used is for mobile or residential.
