    Hey everybody,

I have read one way to add lots of users to your page is post something about a page that already has lots of users by using the page name with hash key. But I tried with a dummy page like

    Hey check out #pagename ! It's awesome.

But the post is just text and does not appear as post in the page nor does the pagename after the hash tag has been converted to a link - just plain old text.

Can anybody help me out here?

    Thanks!

    Angelus,

I'm not sure where you read about using hastags on Facebook or how that source said to use it but in my experience it is meaningless. Hastags are used on Twitter in order to have terms show up in search, to have similar tweets grouped together and to start a topic trending. On facebook (as you mentioned) they are just text.

Here is an article about it,

It would be interesting to see what the source you read meant.

    Best,

    Shawn
