Hello,

whats the best way to use BMD so that the created links arent deleted and stick? I presume only put a certain number of links into each account at the bookmarkingsites...
Whats the best way...

Thanks!
Sebastian

Honestly I am disappointed with BMD. Most of their manged directories do not work or reject bookmarks constantly. Further the import function of new bookmarking directories did not work for me (from 400 working directories only 10 or so could be imported.. thats a freakin joke).

However, if you want you accounts to stick use the RSS Camouflage option but only with very few pages from that feed. This will give your account a more natural look.. The use of RSS Camouflage is descriped in the manual. If you have some para sites up (free lbogs etc...) you can use their feeds.

Cheers

Thanks for the tip...

Can it be that the bookmarks were declined because the used ip was well known?

I wouldn't use "para" sites, because they are probably on the same topic.
These places know a commercial topic when they see one. Even if you don't spam your affiliate links, a commercial topic stands out.

These WEB2 places expect to be used by Joe Public with a wide array of interests. If they keep seeing people post the same topic over and over (even if it's different content within that topic) they get sus.

If it's a commercial topic - you'll probably get banned.
If you post with scraped proxies - then these days you're pretty much fecked no matter what you do.

A new dawn is coming. PVA's for every site. unique IP's for every account.

This standard is spreading acorss the web REAL quick - and many sites are "ban happy".

We need to adapt, just spending fecking hundreds on IP's and PVA's that fail a day or two after you get them isn't the answer.

How about spinning the content, using different urls and only add 3 or so links at one account? At best each link is to another website and topic and each content is different spinned to other bookmarks at other accounts on the same site?

i can honestly tell you my success rate with bookmark demon is at 50%.

BMD comes with 108? sites? I added addtional 1400 links, so it's around 1500.

I registered all of them, most are successful and activiate, maybe 1200 of them.

Then i went through and delete all page ranks 2 and lower, it got me around 160 links.

I use 10 proviate proxies, decaptcher service, and it's success rate always at 50%.

I submit 5 sites at a time.

Maybe decaptcher is the problem. Its a bad service in my opinion. Timeouts all the way and wrong captchasolving...
I think I will use it with captchabot and deathbycaptcha. They are better.

Did you set the categories for all? I heard you have to do this to make it work...

Time outs is the second biggest problem.

And seriously, these cheap decaptha services are pretty hit and miss. I have seen them fail over 20%.

Like all things, I do a pareto. the top 20% I do slow, use the service and fill in the capcha myself.

The rest I blast through.

I get about 75% from demon (though I bought wiz yesterday to compare) but that includes all the best ones at about 95% success, and the lower PR sites at perhaps 60-65%. That's fine by me.

End of the day, the result that counts is cash in my pocket. And demon delivers pretty well on that.

To avoiad delit bookmarking profile you should not submit more then 1 link using same profile same day

One link per day per profile per bookmarkingsite?

I dont use proxies till now so I wondering whats the best way to bookmark. 1 per day per profile and bookmarkingservice is ok. How about bookmarks to another profile that is created with the same ip?

Whats the total of bookmarks per profile before the risk of being deleted is too high?

Till now I used it a bit and experienced 2 problems. The first is, when propeller is in the list of sites it should create an account for propellerthread doesnt end. It stalls hours after all others has ended but doesnt end. Even clicking on cancel doesnt do it. I have to crash the process. I already sent a ticket but have to wait for an answer.

The second is, i added 1000 sites. So that i have 1149 sites now. Yesterday when I clicked on tick all it marked all sites. But today it only ticks half of the sites of each group always. I dont see why.

And till now i dont understand how it determines what sites to post to. For example I add my pages to the queue. 1 random page I set in randomization. At the end around 400 links are in the list and checked. But when I click on start only 60 are in the queue then. I posted to some of the services already. Is that the reason?

I think the whole thing could have been built more easy to understand.

As soon as i know how to tick all services again I will check it out more...

No, you can do more than 1 link per day, just no more than 1 link to a particular URL per account per day.

I would never give an article more than 2 tweets/diggs etc per day, but I might keep doing 1 or 2 for several weeks till you had 15-20 tweets

It's VITAL you mix in a good %age of "general" links that aren't yours'

60% of the links I add have nothing to do with me. They are CNN or BBC news items. Microsoft hotfix pages, Virus reports, sports and ESPN pages, industry pages blah blah

None of these benefit from your links much, they are massive sites to begin with.

This stops your accounts getting banned. Bookmark 20 or 30 sites of general interst that are already authorities, and run thses heavily in your bookmarking mix.

(I've temporarily taken propellor out of my rotation - I'm getting the same thing. No big deal, it'll be back. Both Demon and Wiz stall on propellor so I think it's the site not the software)

Thanks for your advice...
Looks like the RSS-Camouflage is the way to go then...

Some new questions came up while using it:

* I see in "Social Bookmarking Sites" the column "No. of Accounts" where I can see after some time that some accounts never had a activated account. So its useless to spend captchamoney on them and I could delete them.
But accounts doesnt mean successfull bookmarking. Isnt there a column or way to determine the number of successfull bookmarks per site? Then I could disable these sites. The reporting log isnt good for this. Its only for one day.

* For RSS-Camouflage you add RSS to your websites... But for what is the option then needed? There wouldnt taken links from the rss anyway isnt it? So when you use rss to add your own sites links and add news BMD couldnt determine what rss-links should be taken for camouflage.

* Shouldnt there be a maximum of bookmarks in an account? I mean after years of using probably such account would be contain thousands of links. That wouldnt be natural either isnt it. But you cant check all accounts manually for the number of links.

* I dont want to choose the category for every bookmarking site. I have read that when at a site there isnt a category set BMD will find the best matching on its own. I think editing this search for the best matching category would be more timeworthy. Can I do this? I mean editing the strings that search for the best matching category? I dont want to use optiong "Use first category" because this wont use the already chosen categories but it probably will result in many deletions...

Im now in the state of searching new sites... Alone in bhw there are many sites to find searching for "pligg" or so. Plus I use SB to find more... Hope this work will pay out... :)

In general I agree that reporting is not so hot.

I use a plugin in WP (or some code for X-Site or whatever) that has a badge on page with the number of tweets, diggs etc printed in it

you know "This article has been dugg x times"

Though this doesn't show exactly what is working, it gives a very good indication of what doesn't.

End of the day, i'd split the SB sites into two categories

Hi PR - bringing rank and traffic
Low PR - long term rank and a bit of link juice only

Digg, reddit, furl, twitter. Have one or two of these badged alongside your articles. The rest. well it's hit and miss.

Quantities. Keep adding. People add bookmarks for years on the same account, end up with thousands. That's fine.

More than a few hundred a month is the problem.

(just add that wiz is every bit as good as demon - and $50 cheaper - got it last week, very happy with it)
