if you need and you have ability to manage your vps your self just buy an unmanaged VPS.
for me, as i dont know how to manage it and i just need it for making my account(ebay and paypal) safe , i bought managed VPS (windows) and connect it with remote desktop connection.
after you buy managed windows VPS , you will get the ip and password + username (ussualy Administrator),go to start>accessories>remote desktop connection
enter your ip > enter your user + password and you can use your vps including logging to your ebay account in the VPS.

I'm looking into a VPS too. I'd probably need a "managed" one. How safe & reliable is this from protecting you from eBay? And is it easy to use? Thanks in advance for any help Chrishiella. :)

Other people have mentioned to me to use a dongle/USB internet stick, however I'm in Canada and every provider I've checked out, says that the IP won't change when I reset it or plug in & out. And that I'd have to wait 15 mins. to 30mins. for it to get a new one. Also a possibility that they mentioned I could end up with getting the same pool of IPs -.- Either way, I need to change the IP on command or just conveniently & simple! Also, dial-up would be too slow for my patience. Then the whole method I've seen in the Stealth book with resetting the modem, changing MAC address, etc.. would be too much of a hassle since I'd be running several accounts.

VPS seems to be good. Especially since I won't have to worry when I travel - I can use it from anywhere, can't I? :p Also would you recommend a static IP and assign one to each account?

It's pretty simple. Just order a Windows VPS, you receive the IP and log in information. Then you put the IP into "Remote Desktop" (It's on every Windows computer), then hit connect. Enter your username and password and that's it, you can use the remote computer just like you do at home. There's a step-by-step guide on our site HERE.

    Hope that helps!

So for Stealth accounts, you'll have a static IP assigned to each eBay & PayPal account, correct?
