How to use a private proxy in a browser?

    Hi everyone, this may seem very noobish but i cant find what i am looking for.

    Im running software on a vps and using proxys. Problem i have is when i login in from my home ip everything is fine and when i use the proxy my account gets locked. I need to login to my account(s) using a web browser with my private proxy in the browser if you know what i mean.

    i think firefox can do this can anyone help me?

    I don't understand. How do you know your accounts get locked when you log in with a proxy if you don't know how to use a proxy in browser? If you're using multiple accounts don't forget to use CCleaner before changing accounts or create multiple Firefox profiles to keep the cookies separate. Here's where you enter proxy info in firefox:

    (click settings next to connection)
