Let's say i have a hostgator account and a site on wordpress platform. I want to upload some files that only with a direct link that file could be accessible. I don't want those links to get indexed in google or that it could be accessible somehow in a different way without having a direct link to it.

    Any good ideas on this?

Hi Husbarn, you can put <noindex> tag on your those pages which you are don't want to be index by Google or any other search engines. Second way is you can also On or Off the Google crawler on your webpages. <!--googleoff: all--> <!--googleon: all>. Hope this will helps you. Regards.

You can turn off google crawlers from the search engine to avoid them getting optimized. Its always safe to upload

Use robots.txt and avoid google crawl over it.
