You can try out the free bot in my signature. It's possible to filter users to unfollow who haven't posted in the last x days.

There's an iOS app called Cleaner (not mine, not an add) where you can select and unfollow inactive users. You can set a custom number of inactive days in settings. You can also set an hourly rate of unfollow (to look human) and execute remaining actions in backgound.

I thought the shadowban depends on the number / frequency of actions not the app / bot you are using. Am I wrong?

I think Instagram is much smarter than you think. From my point of view as a programmer there are probably dozenz of factors that can trigger a shadowban or a throttled engagement rate. It's not only the API access from a tool that instagram see's, it's the users behaviour in general and how social you behave.

Ups, I'm currently suffering from throttled engagement. Or rather throttled reach because my engagement to reach ratio is pretty nice. Just the reach is super low. But I'm not sure if that's the cleaner app or the fact that I used the same phone for a test spam account. Or that I run a test promotion campaign which was unsuccessful in scores and may have impacted new posts. I checked it's not a shadowban.

Did you have this issue and managed to solve it?

I was shadowbanned yes, but it was only because of the URL in my bio. As soon as i deleted it, the shadoban was lifted.

In your case it's hard to say. But images that are used over and over again with the same meta infos can also be detected by instagram, yes. I would always edit the image in photoshop to change the complete meta infos.

    1. In terms of content I use my unique photos so there's no chance I got a ban from metatags.

    2. When I was using cleaner it was 200 follows & 200 unfollows at the same time so that didn't look human ;) I got temporary follow/unfollow ban a couple of times but it was months ago then i slowed down follow unfollow and could stop it for days or weeks.

    3. I was also using my spam account to earn coins by mass follow (100-300 a day) and mass like (100-300 a day) to purchase likes for early engagement on my main account. I've been doing this spam thing on a daily basis for the last couple of months on the same phone as my main account. But on the other hand I was doing this thru a 3rd party app on iphone so I'm not sure if instagram can associate my main and spam accounts in this case.

I read here about apple id ban. I guess that could be my case as I've been experiencing drop in reach for months. However I never stopped the spam behaviour to "clean" my records until now. Hope it's not permanent.
