    Hi

I am thinking about selling some of my blogs. Most of my blogs are set up in one account and are all setup as ADD ON Domains in Host Gator. Just wondering those of you who sell you blogs/websites how do you go about it?

If someone could provide a simple method they use to pass on domains to the winning buyer id apprecite it a lot

    thanks

I was actually wondering the same thing and about to make the exact same post. I know as far as domains go you can have them sign up to your registar and push it for free with many companies. Im just curious what is the preferred method for passing on the actual content of the site.

This is what I've found easiest to do:

    1. Download all the sites files.
    2. Through phpMyAdmin, dump the database.
    3. On the new server create a database and import the database you just dumped.
    4. Edit wp-config to reflect the new database information.
    5. Upload all the site's files to the new server.

Search youtube for video but actually its really easy.

What do you mean? How to transfer the domain ownership to the new owner or how to find someone to sell the domain to?

I'm curious on the domain transfer side of things...

I know it's as easy as logging in to GoDaddy and changing the DNS servers to point to the new server, but how do you actually transfer the ownership? Is it all done through them as well?

    Sorry for the noob question...

Be sure you install the same version of wordpress that the blog was using. If you install a version different from the existing blog's version it will screw everything up.

    Home Page:

In your domain account select the domains you want to transfer. Then click account change in the domain menu.

All you need now is the Email address of the other godaddy account. It will ask for full whois info, but the only thing that needs to be right is the Email..
