How to target products that cannot be conventionally targeted
“Target” is a prevalent word in FB ads or marketing, but we don’t deeply understand the effective usage of targeting. Because it is not only choosing keywords about customers’ demography, geography, or behavior but also relatives to contents, strategies’ objective in each period, or the messages of campaigns… You can combine keyword targeting and content targeting in your campaign, especially for some products like medical equipment, investment real estate, or B2B services,...These are 4 steps to advertise by content targeting:
1. Preparing suitable contents
Prepare content that is suitable for your target audience. Questioning what do they want to know? What is their paint point,... For example: You want to find people who are or are about to run a coffee business. You can make content about this topic, such as: “3 coffee business trends in 2019”, “5 mistakes of 90% of coffee business people”, “Without knowing this, the coffee business in 2019 will be precarious”,…
2. Convert that content to types capable of storing user data user
Currently, two types of content can best help you store user data: Website and Video.
* If you have an article on your website, you can attach the Facebook pixel to it. Pixel will help store data about who has read your article.
* If you don't have a website, Facebook video is a simpler content format that can still help you store data. Facebook allows you to create a file of people who watched 3 seconds, 10 seconds, 25% of your video, 50% of your video, or 75%. Nowadays, video production tools are very available, you can make photo slide videos in just 30 minutes.
3. Finding traffic
Make your content visible to as many people as possible. Traffic can come from paid and free sources. For example: If you want to find people who are running a coffee business, instead of not selecting a target, you can run the search box "interested in business, interested in franchising, business administration,..."
*You can share your content in groups if the group can contain your target audience, the better. As in the example above, you can share your content in groups about startup businesses.
4. Create groups of viewers
Using the audience management tools in Facebook ads, you only need to create a file of people who have read your website articles or watched your videos (usually at least watching the video for 10 seconds or more). Only people who are your target audience will see this content. So the file that you just created, will be your target audience.
Depending on how you classify, you will produce target audience files with different accuracy. The number of people who read your article will differ by at least 75%. Quality and quantity are often opposites, the larger the file, the less accurate it is, and vice versa

That's also a good idea. Thank you . good luck

Really very good and valuable knowledge. Thanks for sharing with us. I think of the 4 steps above, step 1 (content) is the most important. Does everyone agree with that?
