    When you create a Wordpress post each post is assigned to tags, archive, categories and search results creating duplicate content.
    How can I avoid this ?

    Why would you want to not have google index tag pages? I thought that is why tags are used in the first place, or am I totally wrong?

    There are two ways
    1) Easy one - robots.txt
    You add in the file
    Code:
    # Googlebot
    User-agent: Googlebot
    Disallow: /category
    Disallow: /archives
    Disallow: /tag
    2) The "hard" way - edit your header.php and add this
    Code:
    <?php if(is_tag() || is_archive() || is_category()){
    echo "<meta name=\"googlebot\" content=\"noindex\">\n"; ?>
    If you want to block not only google, but all other SE, replace googlebot with robots in 2)
