Hello BHW. I've recently started my own offline marketing business, I've had a lot of problem with productivity and I took the time to go ahead and make myself more productive. In this post I'll show you some of my favorite ways to become productive! ?Nothing is particularly hard if you divide it into small jobs? - Henry Ford First Step: I use Microsoft One Note, to write down my goals, write down an action plans, random thoughts, etc. If you don't have One Note, go ahead and get Evernote! I believe that Evernote is a free, I haven't used it but I heard it's good. When creating goals, make sure that your goals are realistic and challenging! If you've ever played World of Warcraft or any video game, you know how addicting completing tasks are. Why is it that they're so addicting? The reason why questing in that game is so addicting is because it provides a REWARD! You must create a goal, then give yourself a reward. It's important that you DON'T skip on the reward, because this will further encourage you to complete the goals you create. For example, if you make $500 go to a bar and have yourself a drink, go to a restaurant you've never been before, go buy a shirt you've always wanted. Step two:Remove all distractions from your workplace. That's right, ALL DISTRACTIONS. What I've done is this, I use Google Chrome, downloaded BlockSite, and blocked all of the addicting websites. For example, I blocked Youtube, Reddit, well known forums, I stopped listening to music (which is a huge distraction for me.) Also, I set a designated time to work and I DON'T even look at my cell phone! In fact I SHUT IT OFF, my friends and family can wait! This also goes for Skype, sign off of Skype. If you're into video games, just uninstall them! I've uninstalled ALL of the addicting video games that are sucking away my time. Step Three: Set a designated time for you to work. Sometimes we have to force ourselves to work. What I do is I set a time period from which I work non-stop with full concentration, this usually lasts 3 hours. This forces me to get things done, instead of procrastinating. Going back on goals, make sure you set a goal that you can accomplish in a short amount of time. Finally, remember that Rome wasn't built in a day! If you're working on a project, especially a large one, realize that you'll have to finish a part individually. Never give up, be positive, and you'll be able to do anything you want. Feel free to share your productivity tips!
