Hello, I have $300 to start my first niche site. Can you guys break it down for me how should I spend it?

I'm not good at content writing so most of my money will be going there. I will use content writing services from bhw members here. I see there are a lot of services around $7-$10 per thousand words and their reviews are good.

I don't know what other things should I spend my money on like buying a paid theme or backlinks so I'd appreciate some suggestions here.

I wanna concentrate on info posts initially with only 1 or 2 review posts. and I think I would be able to get 10-15 posts (1500 words) under my budget.

When I'm done with my initial budget, I will only be able to spend money on content writing occasionally like 1-3 posts per month. TIA

    Don't spend $ on a paid theme...

    - Type theme name "nulled" on google or search bhw
    - Checkout contentdaddy on BHW for quality content at good $
    - Start with free backlinks from high DA sites, check posts from rachmaninoff .. I actually did about 40 of them and my rankings have skyrocketed
    - Get someone on fiverr to find you expired domain names cheap, make sure it meets certain metrics like spam score, non spammy backlinks, etc and create your own PBN... put articles on those sites and link to your $ site + wheel link to other pbn sites you own. This also has helped my rankings skyrocket.

I've created a few niche sites in shopify, and wordpress using basic templates and customizing them. I throw 3 articles in the blog and keep adding new articles regularly... and keep creating high DA backlinks + expanding the PBN.

Whatever you want to do first find some absolutely low competitive keywords .

    my 5 cents for you
    - don't use nulled theme instead use free ones
-Cheap article writing services are not really worth for your money site. So if you can't afford to buy premium quality articles, try to write by yourself(it's not that hard as you think it is)
    - make a clear goal on what you are going to do( like how many articles you are going to post, how you are going to get visitors, etc)
    - you really need to be passionate as most of the people quit in the first 3 months because earning money from a website is not an easy task( it takes lots of smart work and research)
    - Before you buy something from bhw like link SEO services, do proper research about what you are buying( don't buy immediately after seeing some positive reviews)

Definitely spend it on content and backlinks. If you're a halfway decent writer spend it all on backlinks.

For the theme go to https://gpldl.com . They have premium themes and it's all free. They aren't nulled, they are GPL licensed themes and work straightaway. I've never had a virus or hacked theme issue or anything like that from anything I downloaded there.

Make sure you do good niche research and don't get into something that's overly saturated or highly competitive.

Never use Nulled themes. You're new to all this and won't be able to check if the tampered theme contains some code that could leach off of your site.

WordPress has an ocean of free resources. Focus only on CONTENT & LINKS. That's it. Don't spend on anything other than that. Follow the advice given by others regarding content & links. Keep your expense minimum. Goodluck!

If you only have $300, it’s nobrainer: use all budget on the content.

Good content without backlinks —> that’s ok. Your content can gel links in long run.
Backlinks without content —> useless, it won’t rank you alone.

I'm starting off on the same type of project you are. So far I've found that you need to start with a solid foundation KWs and domain. after that you'll have a strong start. as others have said here, content writing isn't as hard as you'd think. if you're still feeling uneasy about it, pay for a high quality article from a good seller here, and use that as reference to write your own.

I'm new to this as well so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I hope it helps!

I'd spend half of that on getting content for the website by a good writer. If $7 per 1k word articles, then get 20 of those - make sure that onpage optimization is performed and they should rank well for long tail keywords at the initial stage. Then the other half, I'd buy maybe 2 SEO packages, to get some links and social signals to that site, and that will definitely get some basic authority to your site - ranking long tail very possible after that.

    Best advice is right there.

The hard part will be finding a good writer. Try different writers until you find a good one or two. Typically you get what you pay for, so don't be surprised if you need to spend more per article than $7-10.

Ok i see all these people SEO gurus advice you do this and do that but let me tell you $300 is nothing its very small budget to start anything especially if you not have any skills and it seems you don’t, and today if you not look at SEO and IM as real business and invest higher amounts of money for marketing, development, hire writers or buy great content you wont make much success i guarantee you that. I dont know what are your goals maybe to make $10-15 monthly from site adsense, amazon aff or what because if you think you will do $1k and higher you will be disappointed very fast. You can do some low quality links, cheap content with that budget but that is useless and Google look on it like just more spam so don’t waste your time. Go hustle little more and when you have few k $ come back to start. Then get yourself relevant expired or new domain, nicely designed site, 40-50 articles (target low competition kws first as much as possible) and choose a strategy how to promote your content (outreach is free and its best) (social media and forums posting, web 2.0s, commenting, is also free but you never do it too much) then you have cheap links low q PBNs, guest posts and more expensive links ( if buying these always check domain similarweb traffic, links and majestic TF) and thats it. There are more things to do but yeah first get more money to invest and start. Its your choice whatever you want, good luck.

How much would you say is a good estimate that would need to be invested in this? I agree that if you really want it to be something serious you need to invest more.

See $300 is very little but you have to start somewhere right?

So this is what I will do if I had 300 only:
    • Buy expired domain ($20-100) (clean is important)
    • Write my own content (30k words)
    • Target "vs", "alternative to" and "review" keywords (don't go after "best" keywords but you need info keywords for support)
    • Order articles for web2.0s ($100 will get you 15k words, you can use them on 10-15 web2.0s to the homepage)
    • Use profile links and get them indexed (homepage)
    • Buy 10k words (10 articles to put on sites like medium, kninja and other free article submission sites with a link to internal page) ($100)
    • Keep making links on your own on forums and others.
That's what I will do! It will take a few months (6) & it can start earning and,

Reinvest your money to make the site better and rank some "best" keywords too.

That's what I will do with low budget :)

    I hope it helps.
