I can't find this anywhere else, and have posted it before at the end of an obscure post, so I thought it may be better to share the tip in a thread of its own.

Signing up for mutiple accounts on something like Twitter is a pain in terms of needing a unique email for every account.

A simple way to do this is using a single gmail account and aliases.

(in the example below I can't use email address format as I'm a n00b, so after username don't forget to add the rest of the address)

    1. setup your gmail account e.g. username
    2. Use this to sign up for your first account in, say, Twitter
    3. The next Twitter account you sign up for you use the alias email - username+1
Any mail for username+1 will go to the original username mailbox

    4. Repeat using username+2

    etc. etc. etc.

It's a great way to sign up for many accounts and administer them all under one roof.

Of course for Twitter accounts you'll also need to use proxies to avoid phone verification, but thats another matter.

Interesting, do I need to setup the alias on gmail or if I add +1, +2, ... to the end of my username it will always go to my original username's email box?

You don`t need to set up aliases on gmial. Just add +whatever before de @ and that`s it, everything after the + is like non existing for gmail, everything will end up on you inbox.

Just have in mind that we are not the only ones that know this trick and all your accounts could be banned on one stroke having a huge footprint like that.

You can buy 1000 hotmail accounts for about $4/$5 and be safer than spinning gmail accounts.

Thanks I just tested it and it works! I'm just afraid that the footprint will get all my accounts banned. Might be better to just buy 1000 hotmails.

buy a domain and hosting. make a setting from the cpanel to collect emails in one authorised account even the receipent address exist (it's possible) and create accounts with random emails with "(at)yourdomaincom" Open your authorised email account and validate your accounts from there.
