    Using an email service provider.

If you are doing it whitehat, I suggest aweber. If you are promoting your own stuff and no affiliate links then Mailchimp.
For BH, your own server works best (as far as ive heard).

The method I plan on using is more whitehat, but your saying with these service providers I can make my email say whatever domain I would like?

Changing the sender domain to anything else but a domain you own is not whitehat that ain't even blackhat anymore...
No offence OP but this looks like a "tell me how to phish for Blizzard/E-banking Accounts using fake emails" thread.

G offers a way to make all emails look like they were sent from your verified domain. You would send and receive your email at your Gmail but it looks to be from you@yourdomain.
Don't think you can use this for a mailing list.

You could also spoof but I doubt you get info about that here. It is on the forum though, for those that search and read between the lines. This could be used for a mailing list. People can't reply though.

    Hope this helps.
