Sorry if this is the wrong forum or if there is a thread on this. I couldn't find it.

I've read that http://xsserver.eu/windows-vps.html is the way to go.

    Basic questions about the machine:

    1. Windows Server 2003 or 2008? Does it matter?
    2. Is 1GB good enough?

    About Windows Server...

    1. Do I just run SB on the server or do I need to install something like VMWare to contain it incase of viruses? (Or do I just install SB and run ESET)?

    Anything else I need?

    Thank you!

Windows Server 2008 and then follow this guide: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/black-hat-seo/316358-howto-optimize-your-network-scrapebox.html

It will run fine with 1GB, but for larger campaigns I would recommend more.

    Awesome!!! Thank you!

Would you run it as is or in a contained environment like VMware? (I'm worried about viruses)

I don't. If you are so worried, just check your list with the malware checker addon before blasting.

I have never used a Windows Server... I take it it's like NT or something? It works like Windows? Just install the program and have at it?

Hey bro,if you are using windows in your PC,windows 2008 will very familiar. You don't need to install vmware. If you worried about virus, you can install malwarebyte. Its really good. Search google and you will get it.

It works just like any Windows you have used. It just looks "old" like Windows 98 because they removed all the shit that made it look good, because that would be wasting precious scrapping resources.

You just need to download your programs and install just as you would do in your on computer.
